What are some of the top cctlds to invest in and can be bought without an address in that particular country?

What has outperformed for you?

.De absolutely. But I think it goes with the language and normal english words has less value than the ones used in European Union.
Like Kontakt instead of Contact and so on.
Correct me if I am wrong here?

We must be resident in Germany to reg De, don't we?
That is not the case I think.

Guys.. Any more views on this one?? Share your perspectives here on the cctlds?
I know there are some people killing it in .CO, .IN and .CO.Uk etc. Probably .CA as well.
Your opinion guys?

.de is a good one as others mentioned. If I'm correct it's one of the biggest (if not the biggest) ccTLD. They have a strong and stable economy which is always a good indicator.

I also hold a decent .nl portfolio (obviously). It's a tough aftermarket but can be rewarding if you know what you're doing as it's such a small country compared to the likes of DE. Speaking Dutch would help a lot ofcourse:).

I've never ventured into .co.uk much but by the looks of it it should be a decent ccTLD to invest in.

Obviously .co has potential although I don't really concider it to be a ccTLD.

95% of my .de sales are english words.

Most international companies in Germany have English as their company languag and means written and verbal communication is done in English

Yes, English words in .DE are usually selling XX times lower VS native Deutsch.
And overall, demand on them is low... except MEGAwords.

I find 2 word names in english are the best sellers, especially in the tech fields, I've owned the german equivalent of those names and couldnt sell them, even at a lower price to the companies who purchased the english words.

I'm talking about most cases... about most endusers...
Yes, there are German companies with global goals - so English is preferred for such companies... but this niche is very narrow.

Good discussion, frankly we don't discuss various cctlds enough. Based on Sales volume, .de is the clear leader , followed by .co.uk .

For english keywords, I would recommend .in and .co.in for India. Its a longer term play but the market is emerging slowly. India's Ad market has a long history of using English - TV commercials, News paper ads etc. My 3 best cctld sales so far have been .co.in keyword domains (diapers.co.in , tyre.co.in and tire.co.in) $20k each .

This is something I did not realize until recently and am now doing searches on good expire/drop word+.de pairs like this.

Domaining is weird. :-P

They must be strong tech word combinations to be successful. I also find a list of potential buyers before getting the names.

DNJournal’s 100 top list for the ccTLDs (that sold for the highest amounts) might give us some insights. The list below sums up how many times a certain extension is among these 100 names (2 times, or more):

.de = 29 times
.co = 20 times
.co.uk = 8 times
.com.au = 5 times
.tv = 4 times
.ca = 4 times
.eu = 4 times
.in = 4 times
.es = 3 times
.nl = 2 times
.io = 2 times
.cl = 2 times

Thanks so much for doing those interesting stats, @FancyDomains. I was a little surprised not more .io and .me is missing, but .de and .co at the top was no surprise. I might have thought more .tv as well.

.ca is restricted to those with Canadian presence so I interpret as not open to consideration for purposes of this thread.

I suspect in all country codes, except the truly generic ones like .co, there are more sales than show because many take place within that country via private/broker etc and are not reported. Pretty sure that is true.
