Hello from a Poor Domainer,

I ordered one .homes domain & @Dynadot people deducted the $ from my paypal account for the name. But later today when I checked the domain name no longer available in my account. Its vanished & I got my $ returned in Dynadot account instead of Paypal.

I had chat with chat person. He is like a apologize guy, instead of telling me the truth he just writing I highly apologize, i am sorry etc.

Beawre;- Avoid Dynadot, they are thief they are holding my money as a hostage.

This happens quite a bit, a lot of the time the registrar database is not "live" and it shows as available when its not. Happened to me at godaddy a few times.

Just move on from it. 👍

This not the case, the register itself (agent) told me that the name was available & even I saw that name in my account before the log out. Its not in my account after 2 to 3 hours I relogged to change the NS.

The name is question is Canna.Homes

publicly calling people or a company a thief is quite a serious accusation
which is in this case based on nothing

..if i were @Dynadot i would ban your account forever

..for the authors of these hysterical posts like "Godaddy is a scam", "Dynadot are thieves", "Whatever registrar stolen my $10.." should be made responsible for their words and reputation harm

imho

To Everyone,

I just don't come here from the thin air & started accusing them.

Its there fault & when I asked about it the support person only telling me "Apologie".

I saw the name in my account before log out, when I re-logged the name has been gone.

@Dynadot is a reputable company in the industry since 2002. And it has over $5M annual revenue ratio. I think @4pm is right, "publicly calling a reputable company a thief is quite a serious accusation".

Instead of everyone throwing names around can someone explain what happened exactly?
@Furquah
when you say the register (agent) told you that the domain was available, who do you mean exactly?.. Dynadot or someone from the registry?
moreover,
what was the reason they gave you for taking the domain away?

Now, Just go & get yourself educated about Network Solutions (Web inc) & then read story of France.com & other domains.

@4pm is trying to convince all that " Register can't be accountable if something goes wrong with our names which totally bulshit.

Let me explain (Sorry for my poor English)

I ordered a domain name "Canna.Homes" at the checkout payment made via Paypal got message about the amount deduction from credit card provider & I saw that name in my account. I logged out.

After 3 to 5 hours,

I logged again in my Dynadot account to point my recently registered name to my for sale lander that the time I realized that name which I saw in my account no more in my account.

Contacted the support person "The guy, started I apologise but the name is not available. I asked him why? He got mute and all the chat he only replied " I apologies'.

OK. I got that from your earlier posts but you didn't explain who was that told you the domain was available (despite the dynadot representative saying that it wasn't).. you referred to them as a register agent.

Also, dynadot saying I'm sorry without another explanation makes no sense tbh. If it wasn't available why were you able to register it? is it available now? and if not, who owns it now?

@4pm is trying to convince all that " Register can't be accountable if something goes wrong with our names which totally bulsh*t.

"being accountable for smth wrong" and "being a thief" are two totally remote things, at least in a civilized world... probably not in yours
which is sad.

bye

That's what I was asking,

As per them, the name got registered by another user even I was the first who registered it & paid for it & saw the name "Canna.Homes" in my account.

I just want to understand from @Dynadot that what "Magic" happened & the name disappeared from my account.

If the Dynadot or Anyone, think that the "Thief" is not correct then please suggest what I should use.

Because

If someone take away something from me without my information, for which I paid regardless of amount its called pure Thief, Robbery etc.

Stick to the facts in both your title and your content - nothing wrong with that. In this case I’m not sure if calling DynaDot a thief is appropriate.

Maybe 4pm never had an issue with any registrar but for example when I posted

AVOID GoDaddy hosting company they will shut down all your sites if even one Trademark claim is made

https://www.namepros.com/threads/av...-if-even-one-trademark-claim-is-made.1110373/

Every word of the GoDaddy thread and post was and remains true. If 4pm wants to think that everything is rosy and perfect at every registrar or hosting company, the more fool he.

However, I do agree that the issue in this particular case should be confined perhaps to that DD converted your payment to DD account credit, if that is in fact what you’re saying happened. As far as their not giving you the domain it simply might not have been available. Happens.

Here are the whois data of this domain. You can match the time stamp of your order and the domain creation time to understand if it's really was unavailable at the time of placing the order.

If you're a poor domainer then perhaps save your money and don't buy a .homes in the first place.

Thanks for your kind advice, I would rather avoid Dynadot instead of saving.

We are sorry that you were unable to register this domain name, but we did not steal the domain name or remove it from your account. Unfortunately another Dynadot user completed their order for the same domain name shortly before your payment was made, I do see that this was clarified by one of our live chat team. You may have saw an open order for the domain name in your account but the domain itself was never registered to your Dynadot account as your payment was completed after the other user's order had already been completed.

...and now it's not hard to see who is correct:
@Dynadot sends you "Order Received" email after you checkout and pay, and "Order Finished" email when/if the order gets fulfilled (and the name is registered to your account)

Did you receive the second email?

I have one question...

All this registration, does it not happen live and in real time?
You would think registrars have a live hook up so even if a minute before someone makes the same purchase the sale will not go through.

I had that at godaddy once, I checked a domain was available (trending domain) and I spent about 10 minutes adding domains to my cart and when I went to order it somehow stopped me on the domain that was no longer available.

I wish I could say exactly how that looked like but it was a while back and I was upset at myself for not grabbing the domain faster. I wanted just one invoice and that cost me the domain in the end.

So it would be nice to have a live database the registrars have to go to and updates were instant.
I think that happened at godaddy with my domain purchase.

To the OP....

Nonetheless, we have to be careful to throw accusations at registrars without gathering the facts first. It looks foolish to call someone a crook and its hard to take the words back when the explanation comes in because the words are permanently recorded on the forum and google. It's easier to ask first before skipping to conclusions.

Wait for the drop in one year from now (if you're still interested in the domain).
