Hey there, my friend just sent me a screenshot, showing that her domain name, which she owns for a longer time, has been transferred out of her namecheap account. She contacted support and they told her that she'll have to wait 60-120 days, the reason is unclear.

I'm very unexperienced with this matter, and so is she.

Is there anything she could do right now to sort thus out?

Again, her account is on namecheap, and the domain has been transferred out from there.

thanks in advance - tyskeen

What is the domain?

Unfortunately, NameCheap support is really slow. Getting them to move on anything is very hard but they should at least transfer lock the domain while you prove that you are the rightful owner.

Feel free to PM the info.

Glad you got it sorted.

Any dealings that I've had with :poop::poop::poop: Namecheap :poop::poop::poop: has been really bad. Rude, useless, slow, incompetent.

Someone registered the trademark of my business in two extensions after having purchased a different domain from me. :poop::poop::poop: Namecheap :poop::poop::poop: refused to reveal who the registrant was to me even when presented with all of the evidence and made no effort to help me obtain this information. Even though it says in their :poop: registration agreement :poop: that the registrant agreed to when they registered a domain, that in light of a genuine notification like this that they can reveal such information:

I requested the details in dialogue that went on with their customer services department for weeks and weeks. Then, I emailed their privacy provider and managed to get the details of the person from their privacy company within hours of requesting it. The stupid thing is that Namecheap run their own privacy service... it's the same company!! Idiots.

I'd suggest to your friend that they should transfer their names away, I wouldn't have anything that I wasn't OK with losing with them.
