Greetings my brethren I'm am enjoying the forum but when I read I'm confused by the slashes // people put in the domains and spaces is there some format we're supposed to follow about this?

I believe the " slashes " you are referring to are electively placed by some individuals when they list or cite their domains.

A general reason for " the slash" is to prevent search engines from indexing / retrieving that domain name were the slash not included.

People may be discussing pricing or other domain data that is preferred to be kept private, not as publicly obtainable data.
