I lurked this thread/namebios/etc hoping to find the big bucks sales in other extensions..figure if I can get 10% (in .ca) of what a "com" gets..I did good in the cannabis niche! (just my "rule of thumb")!

I’m about to do a big deal with a company out of Canada/Switzerland. They are aiming to be the Amazon of pot and have millions behind them. The .com is what we’re dealing with.

That said, these cc tlds have value. I’m just not sure when the big boys will come calling.

Unfortunately $xx doesn't pay the bills for most people. Save your hand reg money, buy a domain in auction, flip it, rinse, repeat.

The vast majority of hand registrations these days (with few exceptions) are low quality. I think we can all agree on that. Why would a company pay good $$ for a low quality domain, when they can register their own (but maybe slightly lower quality) for $10?

If you want to make it in the domaining world:
1. Don't acquire names to flip to resellers. Acquire names that end users might want to represent their business. If you can't afford it, save your $$ until you can.
2. Don't collect. Invest.

Yes.. I use google.ca, amazon.ca, eBay.ca and a few cannabis niche big boys have redirects to a.ca presence!
