Metal wall, concrete wall, wooden wall, it makes no difference, a total and complete waste of the tax dollar. Build a 30 foot high wall, I will build up a 31ft ladder to get over that wall.

Technology is way to far advanced for a damn wall argument, then the tax dollars they are spending fighting over it, totally senseless
So after the person climbs to the top of the wall, how does he/she get to the US side? Jump?

Also, lots of people are afraid of heights... how do you get them to climb 30 ft, without freaking out?

This video taken by helicopter gives a good idea of the terrain along the border from Texas to California...

Presently the border has only 350 miles of pedestrian fencing most of which is 15 ft tall. The rest is mostly open border. These are facts!

Oh and BTW, if "Technology is way too far advanced" and I'm assuming from the various posts... also much cheaper, then why hasn't it been applied up till now?

After all, we've seen dozens of videos on this thread showing past Presidents and politicians agreeing wholeheartedly on stopping illegal immigration and building a secure border wall.

And do you really believe that present "advanced technology" which no one cares to explain (must be a state secret), is gonna be that much cheaper to install?

Kennedy Nixon

Guess you meant another Kennedy

Joe Kennedy

I agree Beto is the odds on fav for DNC nomination. The press love him and his friendly demeanor is a good foil for President Trump's bad attitude.

Had time to watch the Presidents entire speech. Pretty good. Liberal journalist will fall over themselves to find "problematic" ideas.

Democrats: We don't want open borders.

OAC: The women and children on the border are acting more American than anyone who seeks to keep them out.

What a fiasco, just one lame talking point after another. WORSE THAN TRUMP!

I'm going to start selling OAC googly eyes.

We would need the answers to your question from them vVVVvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

Lyndon Johnson
Richard Nixon
Gerald Ford
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
George H.W. Bush
Bill Clinton
George W. Bush
Barack Obama

++++++++++

The house
The Congress
The Senate

I would say almost any question pertaining to Illegal Immigration, The effects in America from Illegal Immigration, All the money spent on housing, feeding and funding Illegal Immigrants so they can stay in America.

I think asking all the above is where the answers are, I was a child, Teen, while this Cesspool was happening, once an Adult. It was already a done deal.

closed down gas stations turned into Day Labor stations were already full of Illegal Immigrants hanging under the awnings waiting for people to pick them up for a days work.

Illegal Immigrants were living in older apartment complexes rent free.

Illegal Immigrant Gangs had already formed and were running drugs, beefing with their gang rivals.

I guess it all depends on what state you live If you saw this transpire right in front of your eyes.

Texas had the above going on before I was an adult, states like Virginia are just now starting to see Illegal Immigrants forming within the state.

@GILSAN , My brother, I wish I had a clue as to why

OAC:.

You should look at her twitter posts. Comparing the wall to the KKK quote from 1924, neo nazi crap, shes certainly basking in the light as the new attention whore. Her and Ms. Rashiba Hamas. They are drawing attention away from moderate dems.

I am convinced she is going full Kardashian, She has already become a poster child, she is working on getting that elite status, getting on Yahoos front page every day, then pay dirt, Kardashian style. She only has book smarts, she is broke and has no life experience, so in essence, she has no talents what so ever right now, yet she will be a daily pick and read working toward her reality show.

Yep, fake crisis.

His speech was for a special set of people.

I agree there is no crisis, but your chart goes down because no one gives a shit, but there is not a crisis.

That doesn't mean it is good, or legal, I could take you places throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex that would leave you in awe. and you would see that we really do have a problem with Illegal Immigration. I can't speak for other states, Although I have been to some states that I saw similar conditions of Illegal Immigration.

now if you reside within in a state that is not so badly affected, I would say it is easy to sit back and say we don't have a problem.

Why doesn't Texas handle it, build their own wall? This is a state that wanted to secede when Obama was President.

Everything is on the Dems side right now. Bad idea for the speech tonight. Polls in Dems favor. Most are blaming Trump. Pressure is building. People are starting to not get paid. Republicans starting to turn.

I would think the same reason Miami Florida and all the states that never handled their Illegal Immigration problems from the beginning i guess.

The states that don't have an Illegal Immigrant problem, Have problems in the inner cities and beyond, infrastructure, gangs, drugs and ect.

@JB Lions why didn't all the states correct these problems before have they have become such a problem??

Remember, Rick Perry tried to secede Texas from the union LOL

"Statewide, 61 percent of Texans oppose building a wall, while 35 percent support it and 4 percent don’t know or declined to answer, according to a poll conducted in April by Texas Lyceum, a nonprofit leadership organization."

https://www.star-telegram.com/news/state/texas/article152402734.html

and what I posted earlier:

Every congressperson along southern border opposes border wall funding
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trumps...-border-opposes-border-wall-funding-2019-1-8/

Most Americans don't want a wall. For Trump, it's just about him, not losing, appearances.

Let me say this, The Illegal Immigrants as a majority are not bad people, they are seeking a better life, I have spent many hours through the years talking with them. They are not bad people as a majority. however, they do cost the American taxpayer a shit load of money. they do drain resources, just as we would if we crossed into another country as an Immigrant.

Crime wise, I don't see them being any different than any other people, aside from the fact that throughout my life many have fled back to Mexico after committing crimes, while Americans sit in prison.

myself being white and Irish, I speak fluent Spanish, I kinda had to learn to speak fluent Spanish.

Only half a million people a year. We should wait until the crap gets really deep.

Border activist are encouraging mass migrations.
Courts creating incentives for men to bring children with them.
Can only be held for a few weeks then have to be released.

A country without borders isn't a country. President Trump managed to look calm and reasonable while democrat leadership has gone nuts.

Yep, fake crisis.

Texas had the above going on before I was an adult, s

My kindergarten had only one Mexican, he lived w his family in a duplex, first one I ever saw. Had several brothers and sisters, no dryer clothes line, etc. Father and Mother did not speak any English. We were friends for many years, this was mid 60’s. Then I saw it in CA mid-late 70’s start to really increase. By High School we had the “Vatos” not really gang members, but some kept separate. My friend mixed though. I had another close friend met in high school, his Mom was single. We would go to the rougher parts of town in industrial section where they could afford to live, met more family and friends. Never any real prejudice being with them. Some parents were home owners by then, saved money. Then at my work, They did industrial work, hard work daily I watched where I started out in a dirty factory. Never asked my boss how they were hired or paid. I would bet none asked for a dime of public assistance. Most were 40+ and sure had families. No real problems, no huge gang b.s. etc.

Then by the lovely 80’s it was out of hand.

State Ballots printed in Spanish. Kids spoke English, but many 1st arrival adults still couldn’t or wouldn’t learn English. Reagan gave Amnesty. No more young people doing entry level jobs. 95% were mostly Latinos, many I suspected illegal, never concerned me, but someone hired them anyway. Then the 90’s the Home Depot day labor phenomenom and any almost any gas station, and fast food drive through had difficulty understanding the broken english.

Unlike 70’s, could never ask directions anymore at a gas station as not only did they not speak english well, but they had no idea where anything was located or street names.

When I left So Cal on frequent trips to other states, I would actually see and find young people working those entry level jobs. 94-mid 2000’s demographic shifts, no idea how much changed and where.

I am curious what occured in 80”s onward in 48 other states migration that were not on the border. No recollection in other than when travelling into Texas like you mention. I have a friend who told me he had many Latino Employees in 80’s in South FL.

A country without borders isn't a country.

1/4 of what it was. And again, Dems have offered other solutions besides a wall. Again, most Americans don't want a wall. Trump isn't getting one. That's that.
