One of my NetworkSolution domain name "Pumpcoin.com" was expired in Dec 2, and it is still within 40 day grace period.

Today, when I try to transfer/ renew this domain, I found it has been moved out of my account by network solutions.

I have sent emails to web.com staff and hope they can move it back as soon as possible

Any ideas or suggestions?

@omelet - I think I know to where you were moving that domain.

It is possible that the domain was sent through Snapnames and was sold there. At Epik if the former registrant comes back after grace period and within what would have been the redemption period, we provide a way to recover the "dropped" name for a fee not to exceed $199.

I believe NetSol/Web.com offers something similar but they will probably have a fee to recoup a name. Registrars typically post their policy. Here it is for NetSol:

I think the relevant section for your purposes can be found here:

If that does not solve it, feel free to PM me the details.

grace periods vary between registars...but they are nowhere a guaranteed 40 days... u get a guaranteed 25 daya on most... but be careful..some have no grace at all

40 days is definitely too much for simple reason that all expired auctions are over by that time

so yer name was just moved to new owner

if really want keep name..renew b4 expiry..else if u really neeed guaranteed grace..id pick 24 days.. thatll cover u for most places .. but always check terns...example ...1and1 has zero grace time

there is no such things like a 40days right
each registrar has their own rules

they may safe 5 to be super safe.. but I think its more like min 20 days.

if you absolutely need to wait til after expiry to decide.. then I think 20-25 days will be a very safe bet for 99% of most common registrar people use.. so namesilo dyna gd etc.. I know for me across 10 or so registrars.. 20-25 days works just fine and I never had lost domains etc..

if you are going past 25 days.. then you may lose few domains... depending on registrar.

whereas if you think that guaranteed grace period day number is 40 days, then you are guaranteed to lose some domains for sure...

cheers

NSI made it clear 18 years ago that they don't consider domains the end user's property. Always move your domains away from them 60 days after you get a 1 dollar domain deal.

Why is it so hard for people to renew before the date!? I think ICANN should not give any grace periods. Once a domain has expired it should drop.... Auto-Renew for the WIN

AutorenewGracePeriod (AGP) is not mandatory at all.
Registrar can send the domain into RedemptionGracePeriod (RGP) at any time.

Regarding various POST-expiration auctions...
This must be regulated by Registrar's TOS.

AGP varies from 0 to 45 days.
RGP - strict 30 days.

well the main reason people reg tons of 1$ names at netsol is to give em sale try for 1 year...then drop...99% of those never get renewed so transfering em out aftr 60 days is not even a question that crosses their minds either...;)
