Has anyone stopped parking over PPC revenue being down big time?

What with my PPC revenue being down more than 95% (not a misprint) compared to roughly 10 years ago I have finally thrown in the towel and don't bother to park my names anymore except for a few.

Years ago I made more revenue in 1 day than during 1 month over recent times. Now I use just one landing page for all my domains which forward to that one landing page. It's something I just started doing this week.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Exactly. A month ago i finally re-pointed all my names from ParkingCrew to Undeveloped. Screw these few dozens bucks a month, i started getting like 5 times more offers (not all of them lead somewhere tho) instead. I left on parking only my SEO domains that still have some residual traffic.

I leave them parked - still seem to receive offers or inquiries almost daily and closings almost weekly plus collect a few hundred a month from parking about the same revenue as a year ago.

People landing on my domains land first on the ppc parked page then must click one of the For Sale links to get to my landing page contact form.

Given all the inquiries on my landing page buyers must be getting through the parked pages well enough. Spammers seem to be undeterred by the intervening ppc pages too. :xf.laugh: The amount of spam I get via my landing page form has increased over the past year.

Parking is the most useless thing you could ever do with a domain.

Even the people who earn mones from it could earn way more by making landing pages.

Parking is like throwing money in the trash.

I don't do parking with ads anymore. It's annoying and a waste of a good domain.

Nowadays, I either:
  • Develop a website with content and promote products or sell guest posts.
  • Point the domain directly to a sales page.

no, I haven't

parking aka ppc , has been very good to me over the years.

when I didn't have nothing but a few names, ppc was there for me

it kept me warm, cuz I used rev to pay some heat bills

it provided transportation, cuz I bought a car for my kid

it gave me the financial freedom to invest in other domains and reap larger paydays

it was like family, cuz I checked on it everyday
I gave it lots of attention, because it gave me so much in return, all that just for pointing my domains to it.

and because of that, I will not abandon PPC now, just because it's not "performing" like it used to. :)

I loved it then and I love it now.
even if it only provides a few duckie$, some email addresses, a sale every now and then, along with referrer and keyword search information, I still hanging.

:)

Can you tell us how many domains you have parked?

About 1500, but almost all of the few hundred dollars a month comes from a relatively small percentage of the domains.

You could earn 5x that amount if you made some landing pages instead of parking.

It’s possible to have both.
