Any thoughts on potential value of these types of domains in the future?
I think with CRISPR and other gene editing technology making such big waves there may be some value in gene related domains

Congrats on getting so many names accepted for the auction @URLtrader. Nice to see biotech/DNA/GeneEditing strongly represented, and hope will see sales of a number of them.

Many are nice on your list, but I particularly like DNAmap and DNAsequence.

Sequencing of course could apply to things other than genes, so be interesting to see what interest it generates.

Best wishes for great success.

Bob

It may no be the dot com

but I still have CRISPR EDITING (ORG) which I think dotORG is VERY suiting for this tech/field and if this truly is the article to come....then perhaps I may get some offers this year...as I have had none to date.

and human/gene/editing/ (org)

“Crispr” (well actually “Crisper”) is southern California slang for a hundred dollar bill.

“Slide me a crisper!”

I just looked (NameBio) at DNA sales from 2018:
  • DNAcode (com) $25,000
  • DNA (io) $7022
  • DNAtests (org) $4088
  • aDNA (com) $2918
  • gadgetsDNA (com) $2500 {this makes not much sense to me, but maybe it means figurative sense}
  • DNAstudy (com) $1007
  • HealthAndDNA (com) $502
  • DNA (life) $488
  • DNAmotors (com) $403 {really a nanotech sale as opposed to gene editing}
  • DNAkey (com) $400
  • DNAclub (com) $298
and a few lower value sales.

Genetic testing and dnadiagnostics is certainly on the rise and these domains will boom but the issue is whether you'll be able to sell them off. Budgets in the biological sciences are really tight so unless you have a catchy name, it's be difficult to sell them, especially for the prices domainers want. Scientists would much rather add a dash and/or a number than spend thousands on a name. Private companies on the other hand might focus on something that's much more brandable.

Question: I own gene editing DOT io; what would be a reasonable end user price today? I'm not desperate to sell but wouldn't mind "cleaning up" my portfolio (if this belongs in appraisal thread I apologise in advance)

also GeneticQ was just BP accepted . im sure these things wont sell like hot cakes, but hey just one good one will suffice.

Not sure on your .io question @Beep.IM , sorry.

There are only 1,661 registered domain names that contain CRISPR. "crispr" word is registered with 141 extensions.
I think it hasn't yet reached its potential. This niche might be a long term investment for patient domain investors. @Bob Hawkes mentioned some good points above.
