I am just curious, how old were you when you first registered Namepros ?

I registered in March 2007, so that is almost 12 years ago without a couple of months. I am 30 now, used to be 19 when registered.

How about you guys ?

I only joined 3 and a half years ago which suprises me as it feels like much longer.

So I was 31... I think... I genuinely forget how old I am lol.

Happy (late) Birthday @Kenny !

Did you join NPs almost as soon as you started domaining, or in it before for awhile?

I had some vanity domains I got in '01, but had no clue about buying and selling.

Then in '04 a client I built a system for didn't have the $$$$$ to pay me which made me rather upset, so he gave me a bunch of domains and said "here, these are worth millions". I had no clue, so I joined NP and ran to the Appraisals forum to see if any of them had value (go far enough back in my post history and you'll see for yourself).

Anyways, of course they were worthless, but the members were so cool and helpful I felt a warmth to the place so I just kind of stuck around.

Peace,
Kenny

me around 55, but I reckon most old hands turned up here as our old faithful domain boards fell by the wayside. been on various boards since 1999. (now only namepros)

in the very best of the early day stuff they really gave their time and knowledge, most posts would be answered only by the board owners and moderators. in those days they were the only people with any real knowledge, advice or answers.

In 1999 you joined a board to read/ask and learn, These days everyone is a so called bloody expert :(

the best boards died because of the time commitment and the owners wouldn't see them any-less than as they originally made them to be

I was 28 years old when I joined this lovely community. I can admit that this community has given me a lot of learning. I used to own a small offline business but it's past now.

Thanks, NamePros
