The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Tbh, if you're having any kind of issue, calling them up is a good idea. It will whitelist your account and allow you hundreds of reggae.

That's what happeend to me when my account got "suspended" for suspicious activity. As long as a golden boy over there whitelists you, you're so good... lol
Tried this, same as alcy they just told me its not on their end and to call paypal...lol... :)

I tend to believe this may be partially true. I had a legit problem with being unable to change namservers on one single domain. I called them and was sweet as pie. They had it fixed within 2 days and suddenly I could register again for 11-13 days after that after being blocked/error message since October 16th. The truth may lie in a timeout. Meaning after 4 or more weeks the ban may be lifted.

As far as the deal it’s them advertising it when you type in NamePros or any other registrar name on Google. Their pretty $1 is at the top of Google. Now if you type in their name it’s not there. 😂 I don’t understand how or why this continues but we are riding this thing til the wheels fall off.

im sorry for every1 who tried calling. . . the thing is they also told me there was nothing wrong, but i kept pushing for it and that's when they found the actual block. It wasn't a block with my payment tho...

also, the fasthosts promo lasted a year and change, and the dotster promo lasted about almost a year too.

I'd guestimate that this promo will last into the spring. Or maybe it's intentional? Think about it. They're offering $1 promo to new users. We're even more effective than a $1 promo because we're outbounding their $1 promo. Their first year is $1... and then all our buyers are renewing... soooo you know :D

lol c'mon man, u really think plumbers and dentists know how to "transfer out?" I think a very small percentage will transfer. lawyers wouldn't either. They're too busy with their JOBS to worry about some internet property that they didn't even know would expire in a year...

If someone knows a sure way to not get the error code (tried calling, new browser, clear cache, and so on) PM me, will pay $50 pp once/if it works for 100+ names.:xf.grin::xf.grin:

yo 55, i mean... for that $50, you can just go to an internet cafe and sign up.

Or you can get a new credit card
or open up a new bank account and link it to a new paypal (under business name)

I mean, you know how awesome this promo is... if my acct ever got fk'd... that's what i would do. New payment method, new account, and sign up at a new IP. Might even buy a dedicated proxy for that.

As I've stated before here, that error code seems to be random (works sometimes but not others) for some and permanent for others. It seems if you're blocked (permanent) there is no way around it except having someone else reg for you.

I wasn't talking about dentists.. why would dentists look for 1$ promo links to save few dollars on probably one domain.. per dentist.. versus 100s or 1000s for domainers... per domainer.

so how do you determine if your in the permanant block list or in the list that'll start working for you at some point (randomly)? ;)

If it never works then I guess it's permanent. :)

When it's happened to me I just wait and try later and it works eventually again. Sometimes the same hour, day, etc.

well never is a long time :)
my question was more a long the lines of.. for how long do you keep trying? don't tell me "forever" ;)

Didn't work for me after the first 5 regs a few months ago. Tried everthing, new account, new card, new browser/computer/ip, i mean everything. Just tried doing it via chat a few mins ago from a new account/ card in another person's name/new ID. The rep asked for the domain names and promo link, but he was unable to do it too, LOL. Said I should contact billing by phone, I am limited in chat. Seems like it's permanent for them too, LOL

Another thing too is that if you call and they blame PayPal, don't you think they're just reading from a script? They have no idea what's the issue and I bet they don't care either.

I had a major issue 2.5 years when a domain got lost on NetSol's end during a transfer in for a sale thru Escrow and they had no answers for weeks. What did they do? Blame the old registrar first without checking further. It took myself and buyer's broker awhile to get that cleaned up.
