This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Congrats! you are killing!!

Are most of your sales through Efty?

Thank you. Yep, around 90% of sales through Efty.

Nice Sales. Efty seems to be working quite well for you. Did you have these on BIN or Make Offer?

Cheers. I have a price displayed, with MakeOffer and BIN both enabled... but every sale I've made on Efty has been negotiated via email (Make Offer) rather than using the Escrow BIN button.

Can you share if you do any marketing for your names to promote them? Social media etc?

At the moment, I don't do social promotion or outbound marketing. There are some very rare occasions where I'll try outbound, but it's surgical: I'll message one or two end-users where I know the domain is a solid fit.

congrats, i was looking out for your post.

I have a question. being that these names you have sold are made up words, how did you know they would sell? what metrics guided you and assured you that you made a right decision by investing in these names as well as others that you have sold? I ask because some domainers say "You make money on the buy"

Very nice sales, given the scope and the variation of the domains, and extensions you would have to own a massive portfolio to make such sales, how large is your portfolio if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you. Don't want to take this thread off topic but you can find more info on the posts below:

My primary metric is number of TLDs registered:

I found this metric of ‘TLDs Reg’ to be a north-star metric. In the absence of any other data, it reflected the sale-potential better than any alternate metric. It fits in this context, because I was not focusing on any other specific aspects of the domain - such as keyword volumes, ppc competition or age. The filter simply looked for domains that were taken in many of the other most popular extensions.

Other things I look for in a .co domain:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/wh...ce-for-two-words-domain.1063706/#post-6557582

An extended research process is also documented here:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/page-567#post-6484675

Thank you - it's around 1400 domains at the moment but will be below 1k in the next couple of months.

Team-Konzept.com - $2490

Thought this had sold for $1750 - but Broker managed to counter/get a final sales price of $2490. Funds received @ Afternic.
They really do have an excellent team of brokers; you just need to price them smartly with good floor prices as safety nets.

All those domains cost registration fee - that's all you need to know.

Seems like a well researched and executed outbound sale.

What industry or group of professionals did you target ? Where did you find the leads ?
What convinced them to buy ?

But do you have BIN's there, of make offer with floor?

Also, was this domain parked at Afternic?

Thank you

•••
Yes, the domain was pointing to Afternic's sales landers. All my .COMs there have BIN prices and floor prices, mostly with min. $500 "make offer".

•••
But do you have BIN's there, of make offer with floor?
You got confused as I did. Floor price different from reserve price.

On afternic you have
Buy now price.
Floor price (minimum that can be negotiated by brokers without your approval).
Reserve price (minimum you'll accept). Normally should be same as floor price.
Minimum offer price.

Example.
Buy now price 1000$.
Floor price 500$.
Reserve price 500$.
Minimum offer price 100$ (for the sake of countering).

@Federer If the buyer offers 600$ (above reserve), is it going to be accepted automatically?

3
•••
No, the broker will do their best to sell the name as close to the BIN as possible. In worst-case, the domain will be sold at the offer received at/above reserve.

What convinced them to buy ?
I contacted hand full of networking equipment liquidators.
What convinced them to buy? I guess because it perfectly suites their business activity
I got my leads from "contact us" page

That's right, but you can also set Floor, Reserve and Minimum Offer there for non-BIN domains. Hence was the question.

usell.eu - $450 (Afternic BIN)
mytransformation dot com - $3,500 (Afternic, negotiated)
softpower dot xyz - €110 (Undeveloped, negotiated)

That was my first .XYZ sale (purchased 2350 only yesterday at $0.99)

Congratulations on your sales. If you don't mind how many .com s you hold and what is the selling rate of .coms? thanks
