advice Who do you contact?- Outbound sales

NameSilo
Watch
I have been selling my decent names almost exclusivity using outbound for a couple of years. maybe I am doing it wrong but sometimes it takes forever to get to the decision maker. I usually target the Marketing Directors and Managers. I am dealing with a HUGE medical device manufacturer now and after 2 months I am still not getting to the right person.

Who do you target and why?

Holy sh*t, how is it that cheap??? Your CPM is very low. I'm doing it wrong then. I'm doing some custom, good targeting but it's much more expensive.

And 8 sales in 2 months is great if they were $xxxx. You really know your stuff.
my 8 sales amount total is approx 15k usd

I also think this is a solid method. I have almost 2,000 connections. I have a lot of them in the real estate industry and I do have some real estate domains. So, connect with people that would be interested in any of the domains you are buying. I will be working on doing that. I love LinkedIn and think it can be a great marketing tool. 8 sales in 2 months is just killing it, so great job!

If you have two thousand connections then extract emails and create audience in facebook and run ad that would be crazy cheaper then any platform bcz ur all connections whenever they will go to fb they will see ur ad

i have use in past the sales navigator where i can send 40 inmail message and can unlock 30 profiles.
Have pay 120 usd per month but not best results .
I go to try the your method , i have view that i can choose only 2 geo location and at the end the bid for ads is 0,10 .
This is price for click or for views ?

I like sharing what I know too, and that's why I've developed hundreds of contacts around the world. I've never met a stranger, and I really believe that most of us have way more in common than not. I do have one question for you however, I see where you're from the United Arab Emirates - Dubai. The question has to do with your written English skills? I'm not an English major...far from it, but English obviously isn't your first language, and CEO's that might read your written word would certainly notice. To clarify, I have a good friend who is half Italian and half Mexican, and he speaks seven different languages, but not one of them can we understand very well. This is only meant to be constructive criticism, but how do you overcome it?

On another note, certain domains may be meant for CEO's of publicly traded companies, but others are meant for small to mid size businesses and new businesses. I see on your profile page you just own 300 domains. Do you not go after the smaller end user markets? Thanks,

Bulloney aka ThatNameGuy™

I do target usually ceo founders and directors by sponsor ads on linkedin text ad and sold two domains there ...spent on ads 75 usd total ....
Sponsored mails are expensive as if they reply or not we still charged by linkedin
In text ad it works like whenever ur targetted ceo will come to linkedin they will see domain on top thats marketing
quite an eye opener

Very interesting thread, thank you for posting :) Interesting information about LinkedIn campaigns, never thought about it.

I have now 9600 connections at Linkedin, and when I post anything there (for free), the post usually gets from 500-5000 views. And I do not need to pay anything. So it is also important to build the network, really connect with people, and have solid and transparent profile there - then people are usually connecting quickly, particularly when you introduce yourself and write them in message why you are connecting them.

But those compaigns are very good info as well, for few dollars it is even bigger audience once can reach it seems.

In the normal post you never know who saw ur post most prolly the one who saw they have not any connection with ur domain but in marketing you can target audience which are very close to your domain...
By the way if u have 9600 connections then better extract emails of them and create audience in fb then do target them from this method whenever they will go to fb they will see ur domains at newsfeed and that would be super cheaper either more cheaper then linkedin

Just an update - I did reach the decision maker of a 5 Billion dollar company and received this:

Hi Richard,

Thank you for contacting us about the sale of pacemakers.com. We have considered the domain name and have concluded that is not of strategic interest at this time.

Thank you,

Ken

I am not sure why the largest manufacturer of pacemakers wouldn't want to own their product name but to each their own. I have written again trying to save the sale.

So when you enter a website and click on ''contact us'' and you find the form...do you send your message via that or do you scrape the owner's email via something like hunter.io?

What do you do in that scenario? Do you always try to find the owner? do you just google the domain name and owner?

Very useful thread - I have just today started my first paid campaign at LinkedIn ... it took me around 1 hour to learn how to setup everything, so it is not that difficult it seems.

Very curious what results it will bring to me, I am ready to test it for a week or two.

Thanks @Riz M. :)

Do we need to have a premium linked in account to do this? Sorry if that has been mentioned earlier - I may have missed it. I just have a standard (free) account with 381 followers. Definitely need to increase that obviously but going slowwwwwww like you suggested - dont want to get restricted.

Ok, so I have done a bit of LinkedIn marketing and if you send out 30 or less connections a day with a note saying what you offer them, I never had any problems getting restricted. I am a little unclear on how you end up with the email addresses? Can you clarify that @Riz M.

30 emails i m not sure enough for marketing and in 30 you will have no issues i was telling about 500 or 700 messages or add contact
