Having hand registered 3-5 domains a day for the last 18 months, I do have some questions with regards to whether or not to register .Org vs.Com or both, and Plural vs. Singular or both?

Recently, and I can't share with you the name(s) for obvious reasons, I learned of a fund raiser my local high school Key Club started. It involves donating slightly used "shoes" to the poor. Once I learned of this, it was my natural tendency to try and come up with a domain name to support their project.

First I tried GiveShoes(.)com and it was gone, than I tried GiveShoes(.)org and it was long gone. Then I tried DonateShoes(.)com and DonateShoes(.)org, and they too were gone. Long story short, I identified two "two word" domain names I wanted using "sole" (a play off soul)" in place of "shoes", one available in both extensions and the other in just one, the .Org. What to do? What would you do and why?

Then, like with many domains I register, they can either be registered in singular mode or plural mode. Some can only be done in one or the other making the decision a lot easier. For some of the domains I register, there's a different use for the singular mode of the domain than the plural mode. Generally I'll get both, but what would you do? Thanks

I like the plural mostly when it's going to be used for selling some of them.

Donate shoes .org and .com and forward the .com to the .org. Only register plural because this is one of the few cases it doesn’t work singular.

Unless you are saying sole is in place of shoes? In that case I would get both singular and plural and do a redirect on one to the other as well.

Btw not sure I like the brand a ton. Donate sole could also be misinterpreted as donate your soul in a hearing test. Maybe see what others say before registering as your brand.

use plural form: shoes. Also try hyphen in a .COM rather than non-hyphenated .ORG.
