Yes, First, it is often good to think about developing instead of waiting for a possible buyer. You might find the best developers are already very busy. If you take the time to learn some skills, then you can do a combination of outsourcing /"partnerships" and do-it-yourself.

Very nice name. How much did you pay for it?

Although, I'm not sure if it is copyrighted. For example, having ''instagram'' in your domain name could get you sued. Android is more of a generic word tho so it may have to do with what you use the website for.

Thank you. I got it for about $8 on Godaddy. It is a generic word, since it's also associated with robots and I think it has some good potential. Obviously doesn't have the best extention but I can't wait forever until I find some good .coms A friend once told me that you should work with what you have because there'll always be better, but when is better going to be good enough?

Great point, the "Android" might be better off as a Sci-Fi site, also avoiding trademarks.

Wait you regged it by hand? How is that possible? Shouldn't be possible. As the guy above noted, it's regged in 297 extensions and .co.uk is in the top 10 most popular (maybe like top 5).

That is the first thing I looked at as well. It is with Mark Monitor who I am sure will be working for Google on this domain.

@xeroox , @Lord Antares , @Jonathan MacDermid, I saw it initially on Expireddomains.com and yes, I spent about 30 minutes thinking why .co.uk is not taken, yet hundreds of the other extensions are. After my 30 minutes, I went to "checkout" because sometimes Godaddy has this bug where a domain is suddenly no longer available, but it still was and I paid, and I've received no email from them asking it back. May I ask what OP is? Original person/poster? Also, please see the attached images. I'm South African, so the currency is in ZAR, therefore it will show 107, but I converted it to USD , and it's about $8.

Sorry about that, jeez, dyslexic moments kicking in online and making myself look foolish. Tell you what though, I'll list it on that .co.uk auction site just to see if anyone would be interested, and then I'll make it my duty to find a GOOD PROPER SPELLED DOMAIN and I shall return to this thread.

Protip: It's very, very hard to find a decent domain which is available.

A good lesson learned! At least it wasn't an expensive lesson. If it looks to good to be true it probably is. Typos, misspellings and letter case (upper and lower mix can be used to catch you out) can all catch out even the most seasoned professional. Chin up my man!

You bought a lesson so go on.

Actually, you should park it to see how much typo traffic it gets and maybe throw in some parking ads/revenue just for the heck of it. It may not get you much but you might yet psychologically generate something for your "mistake" and earn some of the money back at the worst, and maybe earn more at best.
