REQ-LOGO Clothing brand logo design- $55 prize!

Hello I'm looking to start a clothing brand called : Tallawah

The website url will be at : TallawahApparel.com

Logo can have just the word tallawah or both(tallawah apparel) with Tallawah being the main feature.

Tallawah is a patois (Jamaican dialect) word meaning "strong, fearless, and not to be underestimated".

I'd love a logo that just captures this brand. A design i can even throw on a Tshirt.
I will attach some concepts i found around the web. However, I love original work only...
I don't want anything from stock websites etc...

Prize: $55
Duration: Contest Ends Saturday (December 8) at 8pm.

If no designs or good then contest will be extended 2-3 days. But I have always found a winning design on namepros so lets do this!!!

Remember I love original designs so don't be limited by these examples...these are just for inspiration.

Here's my try. Since everyone is doing a Lion I thought I would stick to this to start. I simply did the head, since the leaping lion looks very close to the Puma Logo. In my mind you don't want to directly resemble another apparel company's logo. You will both be in the same industry and that can lead to confusion / copycat status where people don't see your brand standing on it's own rather that you copied another brand. Please let me know of any feedback.

It's quality, but not the look I'm feeling for the brand.

I'd love to see any other concepts you may have.

This concept was formed from the idea that the letters in TALLAWAH could depict a warriors face. A variation is also being worked on. Feedback is much appreciated. I was trying to make it as simple to print as possible like the Nike or Under Armour logomarks.

A variation of the first where the warrior's face looks more complete. Also TA will be clearly visible in this one even if printed tiny. Both these logos no matter how small they are sized will be recognizable and I feel that along with simplicity (for ease of printing) should be the top priority for an apparel logo.
Edit: changed the color to be more yellowish-orange. Please ask for color variations if you prefer some other combinations.

Also, I don't think this design is the puma logo or the official logo. Their logo have another king of cat like a cheetah or jaguar jumping to the right of the logo. I think Puma and the Jaguar car brand more have similar logos. I have to do some more research though.

But I do understand your point. \

Nice Logo!

One of the favs, but my team is also saying it resembles the Puma logo too much.

What are your thoughts?????

I think we can flip the lion to face the other side. Opposite the side puma faced.
Or we can use an entirely indigineous concept like the one below

Someone said the lions face is longer than it should be.
Can I see the lion flipped?

Also, though I like lions.. I don't want designs to be limited by that.

That second lion concept is pretty cool too, but the head and mouth of the lion looks weird. Like another animal...it has to really look like a lion.

Can't wait to see your other concept!

You're the first to do an emblem logo, which is one of the examples I gave to start this contest.
My only concern is that it has the Rastafarian colors. I don't want people to relate the clothing brand to that. Even though the word is used in Jamaica, I'm focusing on the meaning of it, rather than the country or a sect of a people. So maybe a color change could help.
This emblem was the example I kind of liked. Though at the same time I'm wonder how an emblem would look on a Tshirt.

I think the font doesn't stand out. It's not something I'd wear and a T-Shirt and the design is good but too abstract.

This contest will be extented for 48 hours. So Until Monday at 8pm Eastern time.

I have not found a design I love or that fits the brand.. It almost feels like settling

But they are maybe 1 or 2 decent designs. Hopefully I'll see some adjustments and new concepts.

I believe in you guys man lets go.

If I find a respectable design I may choose a winner before too.
