Parked domain, many backlinks no visits

I registered 2 deleted domains that have many backlinks I wanted to develop both and restore them, but for the meanwhile I am putting them on parking. One domain has 536K backlinks and the other has 9.8K, but both of them has very little visitors while parked!

What does that mean? Low quality links?
Should I continue my plan on developing them or they are not worth it?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It does not mean that all domains will get traffic. You can make sure that you cross check it with semrush and few other sites.

I see many domains with backlinks on expireddomains.net but it won't show all backlinks on semrush

I checked with Semursh it shows the backlinks numbers I mentioned.
But the domains where dropped for more than 3 years and there is no traffic stats, just backlinks stats.

Okay. I also check Alexa rank and DA, PA while looking at backlinks

Usually, traffic slowly dies off when a domain is dropped or is no longer in use.

See it this way, imagine if Namepros is taken down either by parking it or by dropping it entirely. Now, you and I will occasionally drop by to see if it's back online. This will probably take us to a parked page or a baby naming website or the name may not resolve to begin with . Eventually, we'll stop checking and look for a domain community alternative.

Now, all the backlinks leading to Namepros, may or may not reduce as most website owners don't really bother to check their previous content for deadlinks. But traffic will definitely peter out to just bots or people who weren't aware that the site has been taken down a while back.

So, the only way I see you benefitting from an expired domain is to buy it as soon as it drops and build a similar niche website on it as soon as possible.

you have to know where those backlinks are, to determine validity of backlink numbers

and many backlinks are not really links, because they are just plain text of the url.

imo...

Exactly all links are not equal.

Look: Number of visitors in no way can be dependent on the number of links. The links are there, so what? A visitor - is when someone actually clicked on that link and got to your site. Even if the link is good and is there on a very good site, - people can just read that page/article/post but have zero interest to click on your link.

Inbound link number (assumed the links are good) means strong SEO standing of the site, not visitors.
