So are we saying that Flippa has one domain sale that tracked in the last week? They must be doing lots of business on their other income streams cos that's not sustainable. I'm guessing they make their money on websites etc now and domain sales is just a side piece. I'm also guessing private sales through their platform are just that... Private.

Ohhhhh ok my bad.

That's still not very good though even for a day.

Of course yes...
And I read somewhere their stats...they mainly focused on websites and online businesses..

Yeah that makes sense. They used to be a powerhouse in domain sales then they dropped the ball by letting Kevin go and then all the shill bidding and favours for people. They lost all credibility and trust people had in them. Then they hiked all their prices which is a classic move for a company struggling. Shame really cos I used to like them back in the day.

Anyway I'm going off topic.

1M.com was a bargain for the buyer IMO

Detoxing.com was damn near a giveaway IMO

Were the fuck was I , I would have paid 3.5 for Detoxing.com in a heart beat, developed it, affiliated with the detox centers in USA and made some good money, damnit!!

Detoxing is huge!! With the opioid epidemic, doctors cutting patients off from getting pain meds, there are a few million dollars + to be made with Detoxing.com , fuck me for missing the boat on that one. Missing the boat, the story of my life of domains, LOL

I have been very blessed and fortunate in the industry though.

“ing” never gets much love but def worth the sale price. Same for “ed” - sometimes you can get good deals on those as well and they aren’t even competitive with present tense form. Like dipped compared to dip. Dip is do it yourself while dipped is done by someone else.

I agree in general, this year sleeping and snoring did sell for $500k each this year!

Have to be careful about assuming too much from just a few days data. On average over past year Flippa has about $6600 in sales on NameBio per day. Still not a lot, and no doubt with their changes recently in listing prices their domain sales will go down. As others have said they seem to be setting their focus pretty clearly on businesses and not doimains.

high bidder was point, active bidder, that price is probably 10X as soon as it hits the account. Thousands of powders, and liquids also great for a storefront. Looks like they spent close to $10K today at namejet alone.
