Like a few previous years let's fill the domaining community with happiness again.

Blackfriday and cybermonday are just 10 days away and I am sure all of us are geared up to make the most of the awesome deals on the internet.

Gather all you can and put all the deals here. I will try and consolidate all deals in one post.

Cheers,
Aditya.

@Yaffa hi..

I just registered for .net and I didn't faced any troubles... completed transaction and name registered...

May be it is related to the specific coupons..

@Bob Hawkes we can use coupon for only one extension in the given combo...

If it is for .com & .co we can use either for .com or .co ....not both...

Am I correct

That is correct. Just to be totally clear for those not used to the Namecheap coupons.
  1. You can only take one of any coupon (ie if com/co is offered in 3 time slots you can only take it once).
  2. For each coupon you can take only one of the options, as per your question you can use the coupon for a com or a co but not both.
  3. As long as the coupons are not identical you can take them both. Eg if they offer a com/co coupon and later a com/cc coupon you can take both and use them both for a com.

Just a reminder those who picked up Namecheap coupons to use them before they expire (48 hr after issue). Remember to add the coupon to your order and confirm that the price changes, and that you must do each domain as a separate transaction. I just finished using the last of mine, and the process was super smooth for all 10. Yes, it was frustrating at times with captcha and missing, but getting 2 .com, 2 .net, 1 .org, 1 .co, 1 .me, 1 .tech, 1 .app, and 1 .shop all for $0.88 each (plus ICANN for some) is a pretty sweet deal! Also transferred a.com adding a year for $3.88.

Remember that the whole thing repeats for another 24 hr for Cyber Monday (starting at midnight US Eastern time one). Remember, unlike a few posts here, it was possible to get 2 .com since one was in a .com/.cc cluster and the other in a .com/.co which is different. Similarly could get 2 .net if you so chose.

I did a very rough calculation and assuming most coupons taken got used, the difference between the wholesale cost Namecheap pay and the price they sold domains at, not counting their costs or anything for the other promotions on hosting etc., was well over $400,000 in total. I personally think their system of restricting any one person to about 10 coupons through repetition was fair. Later in the promotion it became much easier to snag them, in a few cases they stayed available almost the full hour.

Please keep posting items as you find new deals at various places.

Bob

Hello, Bob!

I think - Namecheap the best cheapest registrar at Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I buy .com .net .co .cc .domains for $0.88 and transfer to another registrar for $8.99 (NameSilo) or Epik ($6.99). Just because - i want to save my money and renew my domain for 1 year with promos.

I from Russian Federation (i dont like Putin) and all domain registrars don't provide promos for Cyber Monday or Black Friday. Standart regular register price for .com domains at Reg.ru - $22.00 per 1 year.

Do you agree with that price? Maybe - no. In Russia, Ukraine, Belarus - words "Black + Friday" and "Cyber + Monday" not exist. Check my photo.

black-friday-06.jpg

Yes. For Namecheap registrar - its 400.000 USD per one day of Black Friday, but that best match for every domainer at that days.

Proof`s: https://www.reg.com/company/prices/#expanders=domain,international
Check .com .net .org domains and compare prices with any American Registrar.

Renewals plans - its on what does not influence

Have the same problem with you. I've missed the transfer coupon due to the incorrect EPP code. I've transfer again and it's said that the coupon was used.

A good point. I keep my own spreadsheet with my coupons and copy and paste from it when I use them and on my spreadsheet indicate when and what I used it for. I had not realized if you made mistake you would not be able to try again. So everyone be sure to be careful which coupons you use.

Completed using all...

Transfer coupon and hosting related are left behind...

Note to self....just take the coupons which you want to use..bcoz they might be useful for others...

I thought I can give to someone but again it is also not possible...

A few notes possibly helpful to others about the Name.com CyberMonday domain sale, for those new to them as a registrar (which I was, just did my first orders with them).
  • They have some great specials on. Here is the link to details, or my article on Name.com is here. I particularly liked the $0.99 .online,, .cloud, .info and .pro, but other options may appeal to you.
  • They will show regular price so be sure to add the CYBERMONDAY coupon and confirm that prices have been adjusted.
  • They automatically add to cart their premium security package, so be sure to look at cart and take that off (unless you want it).
  • If a new account you will need to confirm your contact details both through an SMS message code and an email message code (note that you can adjust the SMS message phone number at confirmation stage - I don't use my cell number on account registrations, so could keep the other phone I usually do on the domain records.
  • I think credit cards and PayPal are the only pay options (might be wrong).
  • They will show the prices adjusted to your region, but the actual charges will be in USD and at the CyberMonday rates.
  • They have a very slick system for domain forwarding and email forwarding so that email to your domain can go to your main email account. These are free.
I am not sure if you need to do one order with the code or can do it in separate transactions. I ordered 10 domains in one order and got the special rates on all. The special ends the end of CyberMonday in their time zone.

It is not a domain, but will help you sell domains! Domain Name Academy have extended their reduced rates through CyberMonday. See codes to use (one for one year plan and one forever membership) in the link below to the tweet where they announced it.

(you don't need a Twitter account to see the image with the codes in the link)

At Greens247.com, they have the promo code 1$DOMAINS
for a variety of extensions, including .com.
It is valid until Monday 26th

Unfortunately, you can get only one domain!
The promotion code entered has expired

If we got a .org for Black Friday can we also get a .org for Cyber Monday? Or no?

Yes, the Friday and Monday deals are separate.

While checking why my Namecheap balance was around a dollar more than expected, I saw, buried quite deep in two 'Namecheap order summary' emails, that these Namecheap coupon transactions didn't actually go through.Rather than wade through individual emails, I found that searching my Gmail inbox for:

[FAILED], "Namecheap order summary"

brings up these emails as well as those from failed earlier Namecheap transactions. I have now set up a Gmail filter so I can be alerted immediately if a Namecheap transaction fails. Should not be hard to adapt for other email programmes.

For folks who used the Network Solutions $1 Black Friday offer involving a $20 fee to transfer out (or earlier NS offers with the fee). Is there a way to see from your account which domains have the fee? I'm asking because on two occasions which definitely did NOT have a transfer-out fee, I ended up having to contact Support, who couldn't get the code to work so they applied a different method/code to process the transaction. They confirmed at the time that there was no transfer-out fee, but it would still be good to check this within my account.

Also on the subject of transfer-out fees and Black Friday - I have not yet found a reliable list of registrars which normally have a transfer-out fee. This would be helpful now as I am looking to do transfers to registrars I have not used before.

What you mean by "use" it ?

You have to get the coupons first and then you will have 48 hrs to utilize the coupons you are able grab...

I hope you are clear about this...

If you are fast enough and see the code after resolving the captcha you got the code. Then you have 48 hours to use it.
