Hi all. I came into domaining with some real good sales but then focused my attention on building my business. For the last 3 years, I was just slogging into my startup and had put all of my money and efforts into it.
I put everything up for my fintech startup smeloan dot com, and went bankrupt.
I couldn't pay for a couple of domains here on Namepros a year back after promising on a price and even sold off half of my domain portfolio to cover dues on the startup. I have been away from domaining for last one year.
I went into depression and then started avoiding people and that guy who avoided calls from Rohit to transfer my sold domains to Namejet and which led to his ban from Namejet was me.
I don't know but I felt dejected from everything after putting in close to 16+ hours a day for 3 years and then going bankrupt.
I am really sorry. I hope those couple of sellers from Namepros and Rohit will forgive me.
I am starting afresh after blowing up everything in that fintech startup. I hope I can make some good domain sales again. The mods will ban me again now for those 2 negative trade reviews I guess :)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I am a fan of giving people second chances. We are all on a journey. Some of us learn thing the hard way, especially those who take risks. So, welcome back and keep looking up!

Secret to happiness is forgiveness.
Thank you for explaining things and how it happened. I feel you were genuinely sincere, and made couple mistakes
23 positive, 2 negative. Don't worry about the past, work on the present and the future and all will be well(y)

I think your post is a step in the right direction. If you didn't pay the 2 people here at NamePros- I think you should consider paying them now regardless of the domains involved. Not sure what was the situation with Rohit but maybe you can compensate him too. To me it seems like the right thing to do in order to start fresh, make up for past mistakes and maybe this could also get rid of those bad trade reviews. Sorry to hear about the problems with the startup and hopefully things will improve from now on and you'll learn from the mistakes that you made.

Agreed, welcome back Hemanttilotia..... but?
````
// ! ...and then started avoiding people...
Never a good idea to start avoiding people,
If "The Truth Will Set You Free",
Then, You never need to avoid people, right?
The thing with negatives is as soon as people don't get things their way the negative review comes out it makes the news everyday if you ran a cafe. So can't make everyone happy regardless.
I will try my best to get some good sales and hopefully turn it around.
I have left smeloan now and an fully concentrating on domaining. I have got some domains left and domaintrip dot com, a domain focused google news website left. I hope I can do some good sales and build that website.
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt post @Hemanttilotia, and I am glad that you are back to domaining and NPs. As you move forward I wish for you success and happiness.
I also want to acknowledge and agree with the wise and welcoming advice of so many already on this thread. It is the best of NPs in action.
Bob
Welcome back @Hemanttilotia, and sorry for the rough patch you've been through. We all have them! I admire your courage in admitting your mistakes and wish you success in your future domaining.
Maybe I'm a bit backwards here, but shouldn't you pay back the people you wronged, and then ask for forgiveness?
You mention hoping for some nice sales, but you don't mention anything about paying back those you avoided.
I don't have enough money at this moment to pay for the domains I agreed to buy. That was a sale for them that didn't happen. But, yes, I admit that my action caused actual monetary loss to Rohit and hence I want to compensate for it.
I am willing to compensate him in whatever way he thinks best.
I was under heavy debt, had a startup failure and just avoided people. I know that was wrong and it is up to Rohit to decide how he would want to punish me for my actions at that time.
I was genuinely happy when he reported he was doing $5K sales a month and even told my family that a friend of mine was doing well in domaining.
Welcome back Hemant!
Thanks for being honest and admitting to what you did. Not many admits it.
Not sure what those two guys would do or are in position due to your not taking proper action on time but at least you're fair enough for sharing and feeling what went wrong from your side.
Hope such things are not repeated from you in future and best of luck for the future!
Thanks. I have written to those 2 namepros sellers to honour my earlier commitment. I hope that is okay with them.
Update: Out of the 2 sellers whom I committed to buy, I have paid to one of them(paid 1.5x of the previously agreed price just now) whereas other had already sold out that domain.
Yet to hear from Rohit. I hope I can again find gold in domaining.
Try and learn from your mistakes. No one is perfect. Dont bin on anything unless your 1000% sure you can pay. If you stay on the right path and do the right thing I'm sure people will notice and all will be forgotten. Good luck!
You've had a tough time and you've been brave and genuine in your post.
In life, there's the events that happen to you - but then there's how you react to the events, which is more important.
Together with your post, hopefully returning to domaining will be the start of a +ve reaction for you.
