What do you think about the recent sale of 1m.com?

It sold on Flippa for $140,000. Is this your sale?

Would've loved to see this sell for 1m (million).

Surprised to see a big domain sale come through Flippa - seems as though they've fallen off the map a bit.

1M.com shows on namebio at 140k sail @ flip.

WOAJ. So, 2L.coms actually go for high xxx,xxx to x millions.

mk.com sold for 700k just earlier this month.

I think the stock / crypto crash is causing domain values to dip.

That said, 1M is a stellar name... two characters. But it only went for 140k. Is it too cheap?
Not Crypto or Stock but I think its seller who might need money and that's lead him to give it for cheap.

if i had budget i would buy this in 175k to 200k
this domain worth is 500k to 700k if investor have holding power
but for 1m i think 1 million usd also possible.

nice, should've sold for a lot more.

Goes to show, comparable sales are not always a good guide to pricing.

I am not sure that I agree with those who say it is too low. NL in .com have sold 69 times (at least in NameBio database) with an average price of $31,400. This sale becomes the third highest sale in the category (although only $1 above the fourth). While the names 3d and 3w sold for substantially more ($500k, $280k), many have sold for substantially less - e.g. 3l sold for $82,000 last year. While there is no doubt this niche has gone up in price, and many of the lower sales are well in past, I think that the price is about right for buyer and seller.

Agree that it is rare to see sales like this on Flippa. It is the 4th highest sale on Flippa 2018YTD.

Prices MUCH lower but NL have sold well in country codes too - 199 sales (also 10 times in ngTLDs). NL has also sold 68 times in net.

You have to discount it somewhat because it's a NL.com. not a pure LL.com. I thought it was a strange choice to offer it for sale on Flippa. But it does look like it sold at the lower end of expectations. If I had that kind of cash to throw around (who does?), I thought it was a bargain. Should easily be able to resell for twice that amount. It's definitely a very nice combination of LN. I'd say the buyer won that one.

It was an NL.com not a LL or NN it did not sell cheap, 3rd highest all time for the niche.

i dont think so we can compare 1m with 3c 1i or 3l
1m is strong combination and extreme brandable
for 3d its totally different story
suppose if 3g or 4g will come in market for sale i dont think they will go cheap like 1i or 3l

@equity78 - I got the NL correct on the first part of my message. the LN at the end was a typo :) I think the price was easily justified because 1) It's a much better domain than the NL's others in your list, and 2) the age of the other NL sales in your list

Much better than 3d? I disagree there. Much better than 3w, yes.

I never said that IM was better than 3D. Which sold for more than 3x 1M price over 7 years ago. But I think it justifies my reasoning of my valuation of 1M.

Bargain, or not? Hard to tell. Maybe the new owner has a million dollar start-up with that name, or maybe he/she is just gonna hold on to it and try to sell it even more expensive. Time will tell.

But I am certain that all these kind of sales is positive for us as domainers. so congratulations to the seller, buyer and us as domainers!

Of course you have that kind of cash to throw around ;). Anyone who owns a home does... just mortgage, then throw it into 1M.com lol.

Not saying it's a prudent idea. But. . .

I suppose as the markets continue to crash, we'll see more of these high-domain fire sails.

Tbh, even if i had 140k, i wouldn't buy 1M.com because that can only be sold for maximum 500k, unless there's a huge company called 1M who really wanted it... then 1 million.

But with 140k, you could buy so many $1,000-premium domains that can be flipped for over $2k within 5 years. . . And I'd rather do that :D

I didn't say you didn't I never even referenced you.

Somebody was selling this domain on Namepros for $90K. If $140K such a great deal, why did nobody make an offer to buy it here?

because no one checks NP. . . at most, I check the auctions. But I never ever check the make offer / fixed price sections... shiz I bet you could throw a 1L.com for xxx,xxx and no one would realize it existed.

Only cheapskates here, that's the main reason! Including me.
Probably a nice quick flip in $500k range.
