It seems that I've started some pretty controversial threads, and I expect this one to be no different. According to the real professionals in this industry, the domain names I've created and originated are ALL crap. Please use this thread to discuss and defend your crappy domain(s)

While some that follow Bulloney noticed that he created a new crappy domain this am: DomainsMyWay where this is his theme song:

There's no need to discuss or debate DomainsMyWay because it's a given, and it's not for sale.

However, when working out at the gym this am, a young lady that was on the elliptical next to me invited me to a wellness seminar called "Nutrition As Medicine". To cut to the chase, a buddy and I will be attending the seminar on November 13th. It's an all day event that cost $25, and includes a Plant-Based Lunch. I'm going, but just as important was for me to check out when I got home to see if the domain NutritionAsMedicine was taken, and it was:xf.frown:. I guess it wasn't a crappy domain, but I was determined to find one or maybe two that were close. Thus, FruitAsMedicine(.)com and LaughterAsMedicine:ROFL:(.)com. I rescued these former crappy domains that were owned previously for a total of seven years...how sad:xf.frown: There's a lot of pride that goes with a domain rescue....for those of you who own a rescue dog, you know what I mean.

Please feel free to ask about my rescue efforts, and let me know about your crappy domains. After all, we know that misery loves company. Have a great day everyone:xf.smile:

My crap names are crap and and I can't defend them - only hope to learn from them :xf.smile:

Your crap names are your business and hopefully you will learn from them to.....(y)

..what do you suppose the owners of these crappy domains did with them for the seven years they owned them?
Wished they had dropped them instead of renewed them again.

Wouldn't be better to use the time and effort and try to sell the domains instead of defend 'em? Just saying :xf.wink:

Stop taking yourself so seriously. There is NOTHING to be proud of by "rescuing" a domain, unless it sells.

I am a domain "re-animator" (google the word for hilarious results). I dig through the domain graveyard, looking for the freshly dead (or dying in GD closeouts). Evaluating their "corpses" to see if I can find something worthy of bringing back to life. I have NO sense of pride of doing this until they sell. Sure, some times I get excited when I think I have a good one, but NO pride unless it sells.

Maybe focus less on yourself and more on turning domains into profit.

Maybe...now that's a good question...seriously. I have my suspicions why these domains didn't sell for seven years, and I'd be glad to share them if you would like. Thanks again for the question.

Good answer there Hawkeye. What do you suppose I might do if I can't sell them? How do you handle the 98% of your domains that don't sell every year? Inquiring minds would like to know. Thanks,

Hey Jimbo...I don't disagree with you at all...but the theory of TQM aka Total Quality Management is not "If it 'aint broke don't fix it" but rather, "there's ALWAYS a better way." I'm progressive enough at the age of 71 to find that better way, and I'm sorry if that offends anyone.

If after a few years, sometimes more than a 'few', if there has been no interest, I'll attempt to sell them here (a waste of time) and elsewhere. If no bites, I stop wasting money on them, drop them and move on. I'm under 400 names now. I'm parring down to only quality names now. The days of ego pumping "I have thousands of domains", is a fools game now.

This nonsense you just posted above has nothing to do with serious domaining, but rather
how you constantly present yourself as some kind of originator or domain savior that is smarter than everyone else. What is this "better way" you mentioned, if you just re-register dropped domains but don't do anything with them ? You are 1500 domains ($12k to $15 by your own post) into this game and all you have to show for it is ego and narcissism.

Like I said, you take this too seriously. Nobody cares about your past businesses, your age or how much money you have. You want to impress this crowd ? Sell domains and prove it.

I'm not going to waste more time here, it would just feed your ego and make you feel important.

Thanks Hawkeye...now we're getting somewhere. I haven't had time to stop and smell sell the roses domains so to speak. Of the 1,500 domains I own, I'm reasonably sure at least a thousand of them are crap, and they most likely won't be renewed. I've learned enough from you and other members of NP to know I have a lot of weeds in my garden. As a matter of fact, a couple hundred of my weeds domains have already bit the dust. "My Way" takes time too, and I'm just getting started implementing the second phase of my plan. The first phase drew in a few investors, and the second phase continues that effort combined with selling a few domains. Thanks again for being nice(n)

I thought maybe we were striking up a serious and meaningful conversation, but referring to tried and proven business strategies like TQM and S.W.O.T. as "nonsense" speaks volumes:xf.rolleyes:

OMG you finally admitted it. 👏👏👏 Don’t make me like you Bulloney. First iota of humility I have seen you post.

Thanks karmaco...i don't believe I ever said all 1,500 of the domains i registered are good or even insinuated that they are. I suck at a number of things, golf included, and I'd be happy to share with you other things I suck at. I've also said that I'm getting better at this game every day. Like with golf, even though I suck, I know the more I practice the better I get.

Thanks for the kind words(y)
