I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Re ar.ca I see that they currently have it redirecting to their pre-existing .com. Am I right that Arca Funds are not Canadian (their Twitter feed says Los Angeles). If so, this must be one of the very few non-Canadian organizations that upgrade to a .ca from a .com? I presume they have connections for their Canadian presence.

They are taking a risk not being Canadian but what a great shortcut domain for them, especially because a number of people are using .ca in California.

They are arca as a short form and the ca could even stand for california.
For a big company this is a simple write off and I thing it's a great application.

A decent price for a 2 letter .ca.

That's not bad, but I can remember when SI.CA was reported at like $4-$5K, I was thinking "Hell, I would have bought that".

Yep, it's a domain hack and a GEO at the same time.

I would have as well for that price.

I don’t believe we will see any 2 letter .ca for that cheap anymore. Maybe bad quality letters.

Either way, it’s great to see a sale of ar.ca for that price.

I paid 15k for DN and will probably hang on to it until I get 50k. That might be a number of years but eventually a direct hit will buy it.

Just got this in a email..

Everyone is looking at Canada today, which means there's no better time to get your business seen than right now.
New .CA domains are cropping up all over the place - it's time to get yours for only $4.50, exclusively at Rebel.
GET .CA FOR $4.50

Save on your first year. Your domains and hosting packages will renew at their full price. Premium domains excluded. Rebel reserves the right to end this promotion at any time."

They should have priced them at $4.20 instead

I believe 15K was a great price you paid for it. Have you had many offers on it since you acquired it? 15K was in CDN funds?

I only buy .ca in CAD, be a cold day in Hades before I offer USD to a Canadian for a Canadian product.

HeHe, I need a flame emoticon

Maybe bad quality letters.
As far as I am concerned, when it comes to 2 character domains, there is no such thing as low quality.
Pretty sure every possible combination can be a acronym and then there is the rarity factorq (26 letters and or 10 numbers)..NN, LL, NL or LN are the only possible combination..

Just my opinion and more important....experience :)

DR.ca anyone?

I think he's saying something along the lines of "I'll take any of the Victoria Secrets models..."

i.e. "low quality" is relative.

I was thinking DomainRecap or dr.ca

Can you believe that is a chocolate website?

I wonder how many people type in dr.ca looking for medical advice or something of that nature but quickly realize that Dr.ca could be what they are looking for afterall! I mean, who doesn’t love chocolates?? :xf.grin:

I have never seen "stock exchange" used with a hyphen. If this one was to drop, it wouldn't catch my eye. If it was up for auction, I don't see many bids if any. Too bad too, nicely aged from 2003..

Even the .com equiv. seems to go to a domain/registrar type site.

A little long, an unnecessary hyphen and ends with .ca which struggles anyways, ---> no value.
