This thread is to share domains you've Won at Auction or Bought at Closeout

Closeout = After auction but before completely dropping from registrar and before going into redemption.

I *HIGHLY* suggest to post only after the domain is transferred *INTO* your account!

Go here if it's a domain you bought that was available at anytime for "hand registration": Your Reg of the Day
Go here if it's a domain you snapped / "drop-catched" after "Pending Delete": Your Snap of the Day

Feel free to disguise the domain like Slash // dot // com or any o|t|h|e|r w a y you want.
IMPORTANT: *If* someone does disguise their name, please respect them by quoting them directly, or copy/paste them directly.

Things to optionally include (or just simply post the domain name):

  1. What you paid for the domain(s), or the price range, or no price info at all.
  2. Any information, reasons or hard data (traffic, CPC, etc) that lead you to buy the domain(s).
  3. Where (or who) you acquired the domain from.
  4. How many other bidders there were.
  5. Whether the domain was "expired" or not.
  6. Whether the domain was at "closeout" or not.
  7. The history of the domain.
  8. What you see the domain being used for.
  9. Who a potential buyer could be.
  10. Anything else you want to share .. these are just possible ideas not "rules" ;)

InformationAsAService // dot // com
The term "____ As A Service" is becoming increasingly popular. Essentially it means a subscription service. Combine this with information and it's just massive potential!

Inkblot // dot // org
I like this for psychiatry website. Lead generation for private practices, etc

UniversityOfWinning // dot // com
I was thinking gambling information / lessons, but it's just a really fun name that it probably has a bunch of other potential uses.

Cryptocurrencies // dot // tv
Obviously a monster domain. As more and more people get onto Crypto there are going to be more and more news provider and vlogs on the subject. Didn't realise it until now, but "Cryptocurrencies" is all one word!

CryptoParlor // dot // com
Nice open generic Crypto domain. Could be used for just about anything in the field.

InsuredCrypto // dot // com
With all the volatility and security issues in this relatively new industry, it's only a matter of time before insurance companies look to offer services.

Stucked //dot // com from Godaddy. I hope it doesn’t get stuck! Lol

Uncrave // dot // com
I absolutely love the fact I got this domain! It's a strong name for a diet program .. but an absolute monster name for a line of nicotine patches or gum to get you to quit smoking. I actually couldn't even think of a better brand regardless if the .com was taken or not! It makes an equally strong marketing name as well .. extremely happy about this one! :)

ExcellentVodka // dot // com
This is obviously a strong generic. But I actually like it as a potential Vodka brand! What I really love is the fact it can be both! :)

GoodWeed // dot // biz
I remember an old @DomainSherpa where @Michael Cyger and @arosener started bringing Cheech and Chong into the conversation to explain why "Good Weed" (known saying) was better than something like "Great Weed". I actually already had the .co before that .. and now I can add the .biz just as Canada is about to legalise marijuana one month from now!

HopOnTours // dot // com
This is an absolutely huge domain. Most major cities have several competing Hop On Bus services. None are really known brands as all have names similar to each other that include the words "Hop On", so no clear trademarks on this exact term either. I'm extremely happy about acquiring this one.

BoobTube // dot // tv
The most common nickname for television is BoobTube (or at least it is for those of us old enough to remember a time before flat screens .. lol). So much potential for this one, particularly as it isn't pegged to any specific TV niche.

ViralMarketing // dot // info
Every company with a web presence dreams of going viral. I usually stay away from .info domains .. except when it's a monster term that a huge number of business people will see value in the information described in the keywords.

AwesomeWallet // dot // com
An "awesome" crypto name. What I really like about wallet domains is that they are not coin specific, and thus don't have any limitation on usage.

RadioMJ // dot // com
I guess this could work for a radio station focused on Michael Jackson? lol .. But the reason I got it is for what's sure to be an explosion of radio shows and podcasts focused on Marijuana! Pot becomes legal in Canada in a little over a week!

CranialSystems // dot // com
Really love this "smart" brand! Cranial literally means head .. but in reality in this context it's used to mean brains/smarts! Great brand with huge variety of potential uses!

TheProfessional // dot // net
Extremely strong keyword brand whose best attribute is that it could also be for any industry or niche.

TurboRoulette // dot // com
Great gambling brand. Also, lots of players don't like waiting too long between spins, so the turbo descriptor really works here.

Platinuma // dot // com
A very nice sounding brandable based on the ultra-premium word "Platinum"! :)

Share some sales!! No matter how small.

ExpertVapor // dot // com
With the huge rise in vapes and vaping, this is definitely a great one. Expert is one of the top tier "descriptors" for branding purposed. Truly love this one!

PurplePolarBear // dot // com
I wasn't too sure about this one as I wasn't sure if "Polar Bear" is really an animal (as opposed to simply "Bear"), so not sure if it's a pure "Colour/Animal" combination? But the alliteration really works and it sounds great rolling off the tongue. Obviously makes for a great logo as well.

PolarisCommunications // dot // com
Fantastic brand for a communications / media / marketing company. Not only does Polaris sound cool, but being the brightest star in the sky and the one used traditionally to get your bearings in the night sky, it really makes for the perfect image for a communications type company. Again, also amazing logo potential!

Share some sales!! No matter how small.
lol .. sorry .. really really have not had any spare time (look how ugly NameCult.com is .. I haven't even had time to make it look pretty or even add a logo .. lol). Trying to focus on getting my actual marketplace launched and getting all my names listed every where.

Not only that, but compared to my first few sales, the later ones have been fairly boring with nothing to learn from. Mainly Afternic buy-it-nows. I'm off for a few extra days due to tendinitis in my knee .. so I'll try to add one or two in the next few days! :)

SpeedCritical // dot // com (2009)
Really like how this one flows off the tongue and also really is an amazing brand for any industry where speed is of importance. Logistics, transportation are deliveries the most obvious. However the name definitely works in many other service sectors as well.

Tetrachrome // dot // com (2009)
Not only does this sound cool, but it's based off of a real word. I googled it before buying and there's actually a few companies in a broad range of industries from oil/gas to tech/communications to a design studio. I really like it when a name is used by multiple companies in a multiple sectors as it not only obviously really increases the chance of sale, but it also pretty much eliminates trademark issues! :)

LexaCoin // dot // com
Just liked the sound of this one for a coin brand. Short, simple; and Lexa is a cool sexy techy word/name.

TelemarketingLists // dot // com (1999)
Absolutely monster stats on this keyword domain. As much as people don't like telemarketing, the reason it continues to exist is because there is huge money in it .. and every single company involved need lists! :)

VistaMortgages // dot // com
A really nice strong mortgage name. I googled a bit and found a few companies that use the name in various parts of the world.

MajesticFireplaces // dot // com (1999)
Pretty much the perfect name for a fireplace company (retail or manufacturer). Again, a quick google check and I found a handful of potential end users.

CellularPros // dot // com (1999)
For any business who wants to be known as the Pro in the half TRILLION dollar a year cell phone industry.

Appnomics // dot // com (2008)
Lots of money in apps. Great name for a app consulting agency.

Nubii // dot // com (2011)
Fun way to say newbie! Great brand for e-learning and online courses.

WagMart // dot // com (2005)
People love their dogs (those of you who follow my daily auction lists often hear me refer to my little Steamie .. SteamieTheHotDog.com .. lol), and lots of people spend a lot of money on them. It's a huge business, and I love this name for a pet store, both online or traditional!

PrideTravelAgency // dot // com (2000)
It takes extra disposable income to travel .. and although technically people in the gay community can adopt children, compared to the hetero population, they have very few children, making them a segment of the population with above average disposable income .. making this pride travel domain a very smart niche marketing name! An 18 year old domain registered in 2000!

MovieOutpost // dot // com (2010)
Billions and billions of dollars in the movie industry. While sales in DVDs might have gone down, there still is a massive amount of marketing dollars being put in promotions and advertising both for going to see movies in theatres, as well as all the streaming services pouring millions into advertising trying to compete with Netflix!

VapingAssociation // dot // com (2012)
I'm not a smoker, but it's pretty clear Vaping is a huge growth industry fighting an image problem due to its comparison with cigarettes. As such there's a lot of interest and focus on industry image, which is where Vaping Associations will most certainly be spending big advertising and lobbying money.

WTFBox // dot // com (2006)
I absolutely love this domain for a monthly subscription service for fun, weird and interesting things. Essentially a perfect for birthday or holiday gift for people who are usually hard to shop for.

OnlineComputerSupport // dot // com (1999)
19 year old domain with 12,000 exact monthly searches times over $7.75 per click = $93,000 monthly search revenue. The monster stats on this one made it a total no brainer as it's also extremely obviously fantastic key words despite it's length.

VarietyAct // dot // com (2002)
Popular term in Entertainment/TV. Basically a show (live or TV) with a range of acts like a circus, but with a wider range of performances.

TheCoinShow // dot // com (2010)
Obviously a crypto podcast, although it could certainly work for traditional collector coins as well.

CryptoUprising // dot // com
I really like the sound of this strong and powerful crypto brand! :)

ExpertMastermind // dot // com (2013)
Super strong authority brand. Amazing potential here because it isn't limited to any specific niche or industry .. it could be anything! :)

StarRadar // dot // com (2011)
While this domain could obviously be used for anything astrology related, where I really see this being a fantastic brand, is celebrity/gossip related. I'm not a huge fan of all the "entertainment news" type shows, but there's no denying it's huge business with tons of money.

LongTailSEO // dot // com (2006)
Very big term in SEO.

BTCly // dot // com (2014)
Bitcoinly! (BTC is the abbreviation for Bitcoin)

MightyMortgages // dot // com (2013)
Power brand with alliteration in a big money financial segment! Very happy getting this one! :)

MeilleurePrix // dot // com (2010)
"Best Price" in French! Can't get any better than this in terms of a marketing name!

MakeHeadsTurn // dot // com (2005)
Great for an amazingly memorable fashion or marketing brand!

CanadianHydroponics // dot // com
With cannabis legalisation new in Canada this is a great national brand for supplies.

1
•••
NationalAcupuncture // dot // com (2003)
Acupuncture is a large and growing industry. I really like the national keyword as it means it big enough for a big business to get it, but is not country specific and works for any country in the world!

MDHelpLine // dot // com (2009)
Medical Doctor Help Line! With tele-medicine and remote health exploding I totally love the potential of this brand!

SegmentedMarketing // dot // com (2000)
Segment/Segmented Marketing is actually a niche within marketing. It means targeting each distinguishable market segment differently in the most optimised way for that specific segment. A very simple example is putting products for men in blue packaging and for women in pink packaging, but there are many more segments than just gender .. it could be geo, age, financial, etc etc

BestPerformingMutualFunds // dot // com (2005)
2400 monthly exact searches at an $8.50+ CPC = over $20,000 monthly search revenue. This one is a little long, but the search and revenue stats are more than strong enough to merit holding.

BoatLoanCalculator // dot // com (2000)
6600 monthly exact searches at an $7+ CPC = almost $50,000 monthly search revenue. Another one of those slightly longer domains, but with the monster stats behind it, it really is a no brainer.

VidaDiva.com - really liked the symmetry, the sound of it, the positiveness of the words and the meaning in combo (Life Girl)

eSpieler.com - eGamer or ePlayer in German

JuveLuxe.com - Luxury Rejuvenation

eqpo.com - equipment online, equity portal

OmniCultural.com - omnicultural is the new multicultural

Lonelle.com - a name

Vusup.com - sounds like "views up"

Edech.com - combo of Education and Tech

CandySubscription // dot // com (2011)
Monthly subscription boxes is an exploding industry. Candies make for one of the most ideal types for multiple reasons. Lots of choice .. ease of shipment .. wide and controlable price variations to offer budget to premium and everything in between subscriptions.

SeductionGuru // dot // com (2005)
Perfect brand for both either a dating coach, or sexual therapist. Another great one I'm very happy with.

TheElectricVehicle // dot // com (2013)
Effectively THE future of transport. More than strong enough to grab the "The" prefixed domain. Great for lead generation as it's an industry where clients are still looking all over the internet to learn more information about EV technologies and what could make one brand better than another.

YellowMongoose // dot // com
It's been said a million times that Colour+Animal make for some of the best and most memorable brands. At first I wasn't sure of Colour+Mongoose was good enough to make the cut for my portfolio ... but then a little google/youtube search found me these amazing videos and I was like .. oh .. Mongooses are cooler than I thought .. lol .. plus "Yellow Mongoose" is actually a real type of Mongoose! :)
