I don't know if anyone ever encountered this issue before but I hope to get some opinions about it.
I've been doing outbound sales since 2017. using my professional business G Suite email and email tracker. Open rate was always realistic and fine so far until recently when I sent some outbound emails to some marketing agencies in the US for GEO outbound.
Out of 100 emails sent, less than 10 people opened only. It never happened to me before because I know that marketers always use their emails and open rate used to be Around 70% almost every time. I had a good experience with outbound and made multiple sales with them.
I use pretty good email format that is very personalized and was serving me for months without any problems.
I decided to test it and send the same email to my private Gmail accounts and to my surprise every single email goes to spam. I even completely changed the email to just "Hi there" like I am greeting a friend, still went to spam.
But then again I send the same emails to my Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and it goes to inbox just fine.
So I am thinking how can something be partially spam, very confusing.
This almost killed my motivation to continue outbound because it's already tough to make a sale and the last thing I need is 5% open rate (probably just a people who check their spam folder), a complete waste of my time.
I contacted Google support and talked to them about the issue. They said that my domain and email are clean, no issues.
I even reconfigured my email DMARC/SPF/DKIM settings and followed all the steps and linked to my Godaddy account again, just to be sure. Still the same...
This could be happening for several reasons.
- Maybe marketing agencies started using some strict spam filters that target dollar signs ($), the word "Price", "Sale" I don't even know.
- Maybe Google AI is marking anything that goes to Gmail as spam.
Maybe I should just move away from Google and pick another service.
I know this is a long post but I wanted to be brief about this.
If there is anyone who had the same experience or has any idea what could be the problem, feel free to share your opinion.
Thanks.
