Depends what you want to do with your website and what is it all about
But usually I'd rather go for .co over anything else if the .com is taken
.io and .net are great choices too.

1) DO NOT assume that because a .com domain is "worth" alot that the .net or .org must be worth something too. Many .com domains with a real high value often have .org or .nets that are worth nothing.

2) DO NOT assume that the asking price for a domain for sale is the value or worth of the domain. There are a hell of alot of terrible domains for sale that are priced in the 10's of thousands that are really only worth $10.

3) DO NOT buy any more domains until you spend time learning from this forum.

Have fun.

The .NET and .ORG may have some value. Keep in mind the .NET is most popular with online communities, while .ORG is a domain extension for non-profit organizations. Your domain name needs to be interesting to these kinds of companies if you want to re-sell it.

The internationalized ccTLD may be interesting, again if they can be connected with the niche of the companies that use it. For example .AI is currently interesting to companies involved with machine learning and artificial intelligence. The .IO domain extension is popular with tech companies ... etc.

I probably wouldn't buy either the .net or .org if they are available to hand register and you're only looking to flip the domain.

Oh yeah, and stay off the grass!

Seriously, the above hasn't been true since forever, and today, .NET is looked at as a bit old school catch-all, and .ORG is hot for digital and online for-profit companies like crypto, digital services, digital sales, and hosting.

Right now, .COM rules, but .CO and .ORG are probably tied for second, with .NET just a bit back.

If your volume of traffic is high (or it's planning to be high) - of course "com". In my opinion it's like a sigh or reliability of the site. But if you are a small local organisation and you want to keep in touch with ur leads, u can choose either ".net" or ".org"
