I don't know if anyone ever encountered this issue before but I hope to get some opinions about it.

I've been doing outbound sales since 2017. using my professional business G Suite email and email tracker. Open rate was always realistic and fine so far until recently when I sent some outbound emails to some marketing agencies in the US for GEO outbound.

Out of 100 emails sent, less than 10 people opened only. It never happened to me before because I know that marketers always use their emails and open rate used to be Around 70% almost every time. I had a good experience with outbound and made multiple sales with them.

I use pretty good email format that is very personalized and was serving me for months without any problems.

I decided to test it and send the same email to my private Gmail accounts and to my surprise every single email goes to spam. I even completely changed the email to just "Hi there" like I am greeting a friend, still went to spam.

But then again I send the same emails to my Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and it goes to inbox just fine.

So I am thinking how can something be partially spam, very confusing.

This almost killed my motivation to continue outbound because it's already tough to make a sale and the last thing I need is 5% open rate (probably just a people who check their spam folder), a complete waste of my time.

I contacted Google support and talked to them about the issue. They said that my domain and email are clean, no issues.

I even reconfigured my email DMARC/SPF/DKIM settings and followed all the steps and linked to my Godaddy account again, just to be sure. Still the same...

This could be happening for several reasons.

- Maybe marketing agencies started using some strict spam filters that target dollar signs ($), the word "Price", "Sale" I don't even know.

- Maybe Google AI is marking anything that goes to Gmail as spam.

Maybe I should just move away from Google and pick another service.

I know this is a long post but I wanted to be brief about this.

If there is anyone who had the same experience or has any idea what could be the problem, feel free to share your opinion.

Thanks.

Use custom domains / emails and nothing with Google.

Move the domain name to AlpNames - They offer free custom emails for domains, easy to configure, can be tracked and have worked like a gem for me.

I recently tried to get on Zoho, still trying to fix it there are quite a few issues with it.

Which tracking app do you use?

Do you forward those custom emails to your main business email?

Even if you change the wording some patterns remains the same. Over time, the mail servers spot the patterns, especially gmail and the like. And the more people report/trash your mails as spam, the more they are likely to be flagged as spam.

It's not just you. There are plenty of people doing outbound for domain names.
It's almost as bad as SEO spam.
I have received lots of spam from domainers (or wannabes), maybe only once I got an E-mail that was truly professional, relevant and legitimate.

I am not saying you are spamming with crap names cause I haven't seen them, I am saying that you are operating in a poor environment and the mail services can only tighten their systems even further against any sources of unsolicited mail.

As of today, I use Streak but they appear to be developing heavily on CRM side which in recent times affected tracking and there are few issues but it still somehow does the work for me.

@Kate Thanks for that! Now I know why I receive email that is returned to me stating it is from alpnames.com Nevertheless, it has done okayish for me, I might consider moving to somewhere else after reading that, appreciate the help!

Send the same email from another domain. If it get stucked in the spam folder you know that your wording is getting you flagged. If it doesn't go to spam, your domain was the problem.

You might be right. I've been switching a few different patterns. Gmail seems to be very strict. I will try to modify up my templates. Thanks.

Good idea, I will try that. Thanks.

I would like to jump in if it is ok, this is my current challenge of research,
proof that it is very confusing for someone new as even in this thread one service is recommended -Alpnames / then shut down with warning elsewhere.

That being said , here is my help of input with a list of short services and notes, followed by few questions I would greatly appreciate input on :

Gsuite , recommended by some as a best choice,
cost 5 dollar . month - per domain email / user
* note: many deals to be found , name/com and namecheap currently

Gsuite Grandfather Legacy accounts. bough via 3rd party services online -
variations of the Gsuites features found here
> https://support.google.com/a/answer/6043385
> https://support.google.com/a/answer/175121
cost - 30-150 + ONE TIME, no monthly = one domain email with various user # options - 50,100,etc..

Zoho
highly recommeded by many as the top choice for shared IP due to encryption feature
so I assume many have success with open rate.

bigrock
used by one successful outboundpreneur on here : )
I assume shared IP ,
cost 60-80 cents est per hosted email of each domain

rackspace
yet to get details

COMMON TIPS
" always send one by one manually "
" add contact number and linkedin contact " more personalized the better
" unsubscribe option visable "
" certain subject line wording , and content wording, test and research accordingly "

this Next is Quoted from what seems to be good experienced info on here
" If you're serious about your email, forget about most companies who offer shared hosting as their main product. They tend to have bad ip reputation (lots of domains using the same ip, leaks in misconfigurations of websites resulting in spam, etc.)
which results in your email hitting a lot of spam filters.
Look into mailchannels (quite expensive) or a reseller. Suddenly you'll realise why outbound wasn't working for you before"

OK , so dont forget I am new, some details I may have confused,
my questions , thank you in advance :

- is there any point in have multiple users/emails for same domain ?
example : if [email protected] sends out 50 a day and starts having open rate issues,
would [email protected] be the exact same, or now use [email protected] ??

- do top guys use VPN for sending from IPs within same country of targeted market ?
- do top guys use domains with ccTLDs of country being marketed to ?
- does having those who receive in spam tag it as not spam help future sending ?
- and any input on how many separate domain emails one should use vrs the output # of emails

Cheers, and happy out bounding all !!

This may happen because some people open your email and mark them as spam after reading them. Greater the spam marking rate greater the chances of landing in spam box, I could be wrong but my 2 cents.

First off, be careful when you buy a grandfathered gsuite account from someone. Google will close it down if they find out.

To awnser your questions:
- having multiple users will have little impact. Multiple domains might make a slight difference in case people flag the sender as spam. Biggest issue in general is the ip address the domain is sending from. Spam filters will notice if your domains all send from the same ip and block it. 50 a day to different people wouldn't qualify as spamming in some cases but it is quite a lot in my opinion so I could see how this could damage your sender reputation.

- using a VPN doesn't matter if the IPS are blacklisted. The Geo location of the ip should make no difference.

- using a cctlds might make a difference when people use custom filters in their spam filter settings.

Some advice, usually when you hit rate limits and your emails get flagged as spam a lot, take the hint. You probably are concidered a spammer.

@ecomslice

G Suite or no G Suite it is more important to set up your domain properly for sending email.

Make sure you use proper DKIM, SPF and even make sure you have DMARC properly setup.
It is also a good idea to make sure that domain is not setup only to send email - set A and (optional) AAA records. Don't try and game the system with CNAME records only.

Use online tools that check your score for sending email like:
https://www.mail-tester.com/

See your score after the test and improve the outlined points.
Don't only improve the DNS and the actual mail sending service - also make sure you have a good template for sending such mail (watch you text length, watch out for "interesting" keywords, watch your subject, etc.)

BTW: I also sell Grandfathered G Suite accounts.

And yes - G Suite has the obvious advantage of the very large pool of sending servers... and IPs... and technically sane servers.
You might laugh but technically sane email sending servers are quite scarce.

Greatfully appreiate both taking your time to share your inpuy of knowledge .

Therefored aside from IP being flagged for spam. Alternate emails of same domain wont be flagged as long as their sending from alternate IPs ?

I ask ask the cost to have 100 emails under the same domain is mich more cost affective than having 100 different domains with each of their emails.

🙃😮😌🤪😛😁

Domain name might eventually be flagged as spammy if you really take the time to abuse it.

...but it's all in the technique...

I use both an account with G Suite and a dedicated bulk email sending service. Results are comparable with G Suite having a slight edge.

I concentrate on writing emails that are not really spam but rather truly informative and personalized.
