Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I have the same worry...is there someone specialist to give us his lights ?

..very weak to say the least

with very few exceptions com has almost no footprint and value in Russia

and marijuana is totally illegal there... and that's not going to change any time soon, i can assure you :)

ps. please don't rush to reg .ru flavors of your coms - English words are rarely a good choice for .ru names: 99% of folks would not spell "marijuana" or "cannabis" correctly, or understand what "hemp" or "weed" is... don't waste your time and money.
you've been warned :)

This was meant as a joke, but now I kind of like it. Not sure if I should keep the trump toupee or not. :)

I find a lot of Trump jokes to be low hanging fruit and generally unfunny, but I literally LOL'd at this one.

Good job

Cannabis growing accessories..

"Advances in LED and climate-control technology allow growers to take two genetically identical plants and expose them to different conditions, free from the vagaries of Mother Nature. “Small changes in temperature, relative humidity, nutritional availability, are going to greatly affect the chemotype, none more than light,” says Jeremy Plumb, director of production science at Prūf Cultivar in Oregon. “Light is going to be a gigantic variable.”

California "craft gowers"

"It is no secret that mom-and-pop cannabis cultivators are finding it hard to compete with well-financed corporations as the marijuana supply has increased and prices drop. Following in the footsteps of the wine industry, and branding various regions on the West Coast could prove to be a good tactic by craft growers. The Mendocino Appellations Project, or MAP, is working to do for California cannabis what the champagne appellation has done for French sparkling wine, and some state-of-the-art research on the issue is being conducted in Oregon, according to Wired:"

China’s Wuhan General Group is set to acquire MJ MedTech.

The Medical Cannabis company is in a very strong position to capture a significant valuation going forward within the massive Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol (CBD) Market. The sector is the fastest growing* in all sectors globally. While offering international products and services in Europe, MJ MedTech is planning to expand its footprint in Australia and Asia this quarter and engage the North American market, taking advantage of the recent announcements of the removal of cannabis from Schedule 1 in the US as well as the legalization of marijuana in Canada.

Cheers
Corey

This is a Hand Reg. I can get as much hate and negative energy towards being a "noob" , getting shunned for creating , basically told trying to Create was a waste of time. This is why you never listen to hatters. I use it as fuel. This will SELL.
This is going to change things for me. Im really excited.

don't really follow the industry and the trends...

is there any value in those:

Show attachment 99820
all .com, mostly 5 yrs old names

thanks in advance for your opinions, guys
I like CannabisPoint and HempVibe...WeedCrew too (though it seems 'weed' is among the unpopular terms in this industry). I'm very far from being an expert in this niche (in fact I consider myself a noob), but IMO, these three have some value in them. The others, not so sure..

(I'm sitting back and am watching the show.)

Another interesting article on the exploding Marijuana market -

No. 1 Wall Street pot analyst says the marijuana market will be much bigger than she first thought
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/10/top-pot-analyst-says-weed-market-bigger-than-first-thought.html?__source=yahoo|finance|headline|story|&par=yahoo&yptr=yahoo

And in other news, not sure if this happens elsewhere, in the UK young people are not into alcohol:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-45807152

Young people are turning their backs on alcohol, a new study has suggested.

Researchers looked at official health data from the last decade and found almost a third of 16 to 24-year-olds in 2015 said they didn't drink, compared with around one in five in 2005.

Non-drinking was found across a broad range of groups, suggesting it was becoming "more mainstream".

CocaCola recently bought a UK coffee company because people are drinking less sugar drinks and drink companies need new products.

If you get consolidation into a few big players the best names will be worth a lot and possibly others way less as there will be fewer takers.

Acquired LeafLinks/com

Trademarked be careful, unless your building a golf course. And even then there may Mark's on a golf course.

I know it's only $8 but its alot more than that when you get sued. As I have been over mistaken ideas, with no intent.

Domain age is irrelevant. A renewal after a TM can be considered bad faith. Sad but true.

Been seeing the term "acquired" lately (last one was quoted above) ...so was wondering, what exactly does "acquired" mean..fancy way of saying registered, bought a auction, private deal, won in a poker game etc!

I will see your "Cbd.com" and raise it with 420.com etc etc
