why ??

https in some sense may be evil. What do I mean. It is great to use https to prevent sniffing of critical data, but you need pay for it and order it from a few companies like equifax.. I believe those companies have backdoors, and can read data, while preventing unaffiliated parties from doing so. So it is like US can listen and Russia can't. From Russia's perspective then it would be evil. You can use self-signed certificate which would be more secure, but new browsers lie to people and say it is not a secure connection, and prevent access to the website or make it difficult, and if you don't use https, they can still say this.


If you are worried about security, number one thing to do would be to disable javascript. But almost all sites force it because it means tracking, and tracking means money and power.
