Hi,

I'm looking into maybe using Efty. I've seen the few examples of sites on their homepage (one actually looks like its dead?).

Anybody willing to share their Efty site so people can have a look?

Did see the first one Grilled but most of the examples well over a year old, so didn't know if there were fresher examples on new templates etc.

Happy for mods to do whatever merging they see fit.

Perhaps @Doron Vermaat or @lionel_efty will appreciate that feedback, and internally, they may be able to figure out a way to showcase third party efty marketplace examples.

ie

Ask sellers for their approval to showcase their marketplace. >> Display all approved marketplaces
Perks for both sides:

Marketplace owner gets more exposure of listed names.
Prospective Efty user (or domain buyer) gets to see a compiled list of efty marketplaces.

If they could implement exposure approvals, a community marketplace game changer, could be adding the ability to search for all domains listed on an efty marketplace.

ie

If you're looking for a brandable domain, you could search one of the marketed brandable marketplaces, OR you could search all efty marketplace's for domains categorized as brandable.

That's an interesting idea. Search function for ALL efty stores.

Here's my Efty Market Place - I used a custom background. I have NOT uploaded logos for each domain name on the front page, so they might look a little "bland"

Can people control how many domains are shown on the front page?

E.g. if I wanted just 9 domains on the front page, then a 'view more' button, I have full control over that?

I don't believe you can control the number of names. They show on the main page if you select them as "Premium" in your domain list. The problem is you also CANNOT change the order in which they appear on the main page. I think it's just LIFO (Last in First Out) so as you add the names to your portfolio, the most recent "PREMIUM" name will be first on the page and all existing names get pushed down a slot. This is one of the changes I have requested (to be able to put the names in any order on the main page).

Some examples can be seen on the homepage. Some other examples

It's coming in 2018 - stay tuned!

Meanwhile, some marketplaces powered by Efty you can check out for inspiration are https://namerockstar.com/ (that's mine), https://www.dnbx.com/, https://cryptodomains.com/ and http://www.vegandomainstore.com/

Hi Doron,

I'm doing a trial at the moment without about 20-25 of my domains, if I like it I'll stick around... I'm planning on building to 250 domains by the end of 2018 and then 500 domains by the end of 2019.

A centralized Efty marketplace would be awesome (especially if your commission rates for marketplace sales are an absolute game changer, e.g. 5%).

I do have a couple of small frustrations though and wonder how responsive you are to extremely small and basic customisations.

I have got a tiny tiny problem right now which may be the difference between me sticking with Efty and going with a self hosted solution. Its so small its unbelievable, but 100% business critical.

Here's my trial site.

Please don't write my name on this forum as I'll have a new business account using my name, like you and don't want end users linking the two accounts when doing due dil.

Minor Problem #1

Now... click on 'View all domains'.

And look at the colour of the "showing 1 of 19" text and more importantly the colour of the "show more" link....

.... It can't be seen against a dark background.

So tell me.... could somebody at Efty edit my template file to make this text lighter / white, if in return this made made me a permanent customer?

My heart is set on a plain black background. This is the only issue I have with aesthetics.

Minor Problem #2

My domains will be traded through a UK limited company which will be the holding company for all of my domains + several content websites that I own. I'm pretty sure its a legal requirement in the UK when trading online that you identify your business name. In the footer it would be better if you would allow a small custom text area, just show I could write something like "Domains are sold by Example Ltd, company number 1234567", preferably with the text 'Example Ltd' linking to the website e.g exampleltd.com

Are there any plans to enable this? I don't think sticking it on the 'About Us' page is going to cut it. I like to do everything by the book.

Please advise.

Thanks for giving Efty a try. I understand the need for these changes and I will see if can somehow incorporate these customizations into our development roadmap for this year.

To manage expecations, as a small company we are picky when it comes to allocating development resources and almost always make sure that the most popular request are being tackled first.

@Doron Vermaat I've raised this issue numerous times before, still not resolved. This issue might be small to you, but we are losing viewers who do not see the "show more" link.

I can't promise anything but I'm looking into this to see if allowing you to customize the color of this link is something we can squeeze into our development roadmap.

I didn't sign up after the trial because of this issue, will just drive traffic to undeveloped instead.

Should be at the top of the roadmap, difficult to imagine anything more important.

I am happy to share an update on this. We have changed the link into a button which shows clearly on any type of background - light or dark!
