Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You have
1. One Domain from lead (not thousands)
2. Country
3. EXACT time of lead

sure, now explain me how to know the right acquisition channel for the lead as the first visit of the buyer could be different from the time of lead, have more than 1 visitor at the same time, etc...
and how to automate that if you know a bit GA api ?

I agree it's not straightforward thing. It' all about research and theres no unique way.
Setting up GA goals on Undeveloped side that are triggered when lead is submitted would make things easier.
I ussualy find time as another dimension then find another specific metric with that time which is unique for that user (city, device, isp...). Then, if it's returning visitor, by changing calendar range you can track his acqusition channel in the past.

I don't even understand what are you doing in GA to help you. Nothing! Nada! Niente!

I am not seeing any relevant data only the "/" in every report. Nothing! Nada! No visitors coming from internal links, undeveloped search, no visited domains etc - just "/". The only way to see which domains/pages were clicked, is the way I described before (site titles). I included undeveloped.com as account website.

Ah ok, I have landing pages on Undeveloped sales page which is easier to track.
Set primary dimension as Host name and you should have all domains to start experimenting.

Go to Undeveloped - Settings - Tick the "Redirect your buyers to your internal marketplace for sales pages" box and you should start seeing data in your Google Analytics account within the next 24 hours or so.

I had the same problem as you, ticked this box and it started to show data on analytics.

Hope this helps

Thanks guys for the quick help! Will set it up.
Could be a help topic when including the GA-Code in the Undeveloped settings page.

What happens when you choose "marketplace"? Does it bring to the all names page? Doesn't it confuse the potential buyer?

And how do you set up GA on google side? Doesn't it require that the code is per domain?

I have been getting a very fast, constructive response from Undeveloped.com. Last week I sold a domain name through them, I got paid within 24 hours.
Thank you.

My Undeveloped experience has been mixed so far. I'm using them because of the installment option and them offering an easy to use escrow experience that takes hours versus days. On the other hand, their support is only available while I'm asleep (U.S. PST) so it takes 12-17 hours for me to get a response from them. And while they do always respond, some of the responses aren't helpful or require a follow-up, which means another 12-17 hours.

I'm hoping some regular users of Undeveloped can answer a few questions for me as I'm a newbie with them:

1) Each for sale page has a "branding" option where you can upload a logo or offer matching social media sites. My question is how does the social media site process work? Do they "acquire" it by having you change the email address of the social media site? I know some popular social media sites limit how many times you can change an email address or put a hold on when you can change it after doing a change. Has anyone used this process? Can you explain it further to me? Thanks!

2) Is there any way for someone viewing the page to see a larger version of the logo if you uploaded one?

3) Is there a storefront at all? I see there is a profile page, but I can't find a storefront.

4) How long does it take the Dashboard to kick in? I have 24 names and 87 views.

5) Any other general tips to get the best from Undeveloped?

I really wish sites like Undeveloped had better user guides and even an onboarding process. This is very important for new users.

I also want to know more about the Social Media aspect of the sale because I don't see anything on the landing page about social media accounts of the domain offered.

@Undeveloped

Apparently, we have different interpretation of what "successfully" means:

=========
Your bulk import from September 27, 2018 has been successfully processed:

  • 0 domains added
  • 0 domains updated
  • 0 domains deleted
  • 0 domains ignored
  • 1 domains failed
View Report

If the button doesn't work, you can copy the following link into your browser bar:
==========

And then when I read the report, it says "you are not allowed to update this domain".

May I know why? ))

Recons - as NY Jimbo said, the issue is that someone before you had that domain name listed with Undeveloped and didn't remove it when it expired. I'm new to Undeveloped.com and have already had that happen twice. Just open up the support chat and they'll take care of it for you. I know the first time it happened to me it was very frustrating (and support hours are during my sleep hours). I figured it out when I went changed the DNS and went to the domain name URL only to see an Undeveloped.com sales page that was someone elses. Undeveloped confirmed that then removed their listing and placed it in my account.

Hi guys,

The issues of yesterday had to do with this status update: https://twitter.com/Undeveloped/status/1044882606846877697

Hi HayKay,

I don't get this message here. Why would anyone from Undeveloped ignore you? Please note that your escrow agents are working overtime at the moment so when you send them 6 messages in 2 minutes in a row that doesn't mean you'll get priority over other sellers.

Hi Bruce or Batman,

1: We don't supply social media handles, you can if you own them to create a brand package to sell. On the branded for sale page we show all the items you can deliver including which handles.

2: At the moment that's not possible, so far we also have had just 1 logo request so that tells us that end-users don't care that much about the logo (which makes sense since most companies prefer to design a logo that actually fits their brand philosophy).

3: The profile page is your storefront. Users can only search through your inventory there and you can brand the page to your liking.

4: The dashboard get's interesting once you see some leads coming in. We're revamping the dashboard soon though.

5: Use our for sale pages, enable installments, add content to your for sale pages (rich text editing is live for a couple of weeks).

That message is meant to inform you that the bulk action was processed successfully. If you click on the button "View Report" you'll see more rich details about what worked and what didn't.

When you the "domain ignored" message that means that the domain was already listed in your account. The "domain failed" status means that we have to verify first that you own that name and will move it to your account once you send us a message via support.

How can I hide my name from sales lander page?

Yes head here to do that: https://undeveloped.com/users/settings/privacy

Hope that helps!

No sane man will send 6 messages in 2 minutes. That's a bug on your system. It is better you correct that. Go back and check and why the same message is repeated 6 times in 2 minutes

Indeed, we'll simply connect you and the buyer and give you instructions on how to transfer ownership. Once confirmed by you and the buyer, we'll release the payment to you.
