Hi all,

I am Robert, experienced web developer, based in Bulgaria.

I have usually bought domains when I had an idea for a project, but also have made an occasional sell.

I was introduced to this forum by @ivbran, when he contacted me to create a Backordering software for MacOS and Windows.
And while working on the App, I got hooked onto domaining as well :)

Domaining is a whole new territory for me, so I'll be mostly reading through the topics for now.
My current goals are to understand the business better and also keep it real and simple by building a tiny portfolio of domains.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you and hopefully contributing to the community later on.

Cheers!

@robibobinet, that's a great way to start out - read a lot and buy slowly!
Welcome to NP.

The software itself is very young and there are just a few features for the moment. It helps you automate sending requests via Dynadot API.

It is built for Mac primarily, as it seems that MacOS lacks such tools.

You can find more info and screenshots here:

Hi, welcome to NamePros. Take time to go through the forum and read, read and read. Do not be too quick to register names cos you may just let them expire after you realized it was not going to sell at all.
Also, visit blogs daily so that you be up to speed with updates on whats happening in the domain space. I recommend you visit domaining.com daily cos that's what I do. Wish you all the best.

Wonderful - welcome!

Don't forget to identify type-in domains (not dead yet):

In Google keywords tool:

Enter domain+extension. The higher the better. If they type it in to Google, they will (still) type it in to the address bar.

If this domain is:

a) parked or dead
b) has no spillover traffic
c) is descriptive/generic in nature
d) has zero trademark issues

...you might have a domain ripe for development.

Many domainers focus on brandables and that's great but for developers, it's worth keeping an eye on descriptives.
