One of my domains reg'd at Godaddy shows this:

Domain on hold
A potential buyer added the domain to the cart for purchasing. You can't make changes to the price until the hold is removed. Domain is still listed for sale until the potential buyer completes the purchase.

How long does this last ? Is it really that someone can just put it in their cart and leave it so nobody else can buy it ? The note from GD says "Domain is still listed for sale ", but no, it is not.

I really dont know how long it's been like this..

Call GD directly on the phone. They will get it for you.

I'm SELLING it. But thanks, I just wanted to know personal experiences before I call their phone and talk to somebody reading a script.

It's never lasted more than a few hours for me.

F-cking GD has always caused me pain with things being in limbo. I have a dozen domains "under review" for submission for sales, FOR WEEKS.

I just don't want to play phone tag with them if I don't have to. Guess I will wait until Monday morning and then ......

So it's in a 'Potential sale' state,
If it is longer than a week and your not getting a definitive answer from godaddy I'd be transferring it out. i've always found Godaddy quite helpful on telephone support (and easier to escalate, if necessary) rather than use any online support
