Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Westleaf sure half of their model went cheap. Although I'd be happy with even with the on
The .com $2000 .The other part of the equation went for $21,000 . Canadian business will need .coms and .ca.

Westleaf bought the .com a few years back or a year. A year in the Cannabis industry is like 10 for any other. Things are moving forward, funded with in most cases unlimited Capitol.

Massachusetts and California and Michigan.

I believe for domains this is where it starts for domains . The big players can use and do go to brandables in most cases. Where a smaller player needs SEO and a good domain a million dollar player hires some big dollar advertising firm to create their brand.

The Massachusetts legislation is unlimited in scope, pending the process of approvals. Just to set up their committee and approval process took two full years.

Once started their will be thousands of various companies.

In Michigan for example
Unlimited ( pending local restrictions)
grower permitts
500 to 1500 plant
Extract Permits
Transporter Permitts
Retail Store

So think of the domains in that context.

My core areas are

Food; catering and retail level stores like smoothies and donuts. Lots if treats and such.
Pet Care
Vape; heavy to honey and shatter
Medical
Farms and growers
Coffee
Retail store names: I think about how it would look on a sign, or in a window. Like a well thought out coffee shop. I use pinterest and query storefronts and then imagine the name. I focused on flower shops and flower names, blooms, flora etc. Leaflora, Leafblooms etc.
One of my bright moments was the rollout of cannabis in Nevada. Most the media was set up in front of NevadaLeaf. Big nice sign.

Regionals in progressive states ( lots of permitts ) not lots of potential for 13 like Florida

I may be wrong on alot of this, but if I'm right on just a fraction of the industry it's a good day for all Cannabis domain holders.
November should be good for our names!! :) I have CoffeeLeafCafe.com which I bought for a coffee shop brand.

Hi...

I don't know if anyone already posted or not...

I think this is a huge...in terms of reachability to general public and hence big impact on popularity of cannabis...

Coca-Cola is planning to launch a canna infused beverage...

Would love to see your thoughts...

Were going to see Cannabis creep it's way into many very large category's.

Two weeks ago it was Carona and Molson brands putting 4 billion into Cronos. The next week Smirnoff. This week coca-cola.
All of this is happening on the Canadian side for they have easier access to Capitol through their stock market. Plus a federal government that has green lighted cannabis with local or regional rules set up by provinces. The Capitol stateside is skittish on very large billion dollar levels especially on the touch the plant level.

So is this a big play, yes and just getting bigger and bigger. Its a incredible plant

No one has yet to create synthetic thc or cbd on the lab level. So it involves growing plants. All of the big players will have right relationships with processors of end products.

There will be a tremendous need for craft domains. Both on the grower and extract side. Every bar will carry cannabis beer on draft. The plant is so diverse with everything from a glass of wine buzz to a white 152 proof root beer. Most will come with few calories and or hangover.

What does this mean for us? If you are a great at brandables and you communicate with marketing firms and Coke takes your idea, and pays you well that's a jackpot.

Example I have Leafizz.

Otherwise I believe personally that's it's going to be smaller smoothie stores, and juice bars. Lots of people will get into this. Leafjuiced, leaf squeezed, leafbeer. All will be bread and butter in the rollout of drinks and beer. That's more my inventory. They haven't sold yet, for the vision of a juice bar selling cannabis smoothies is still a vision not a reality, a year ? But that's what were doing here. If you ever said in my lifetime thier would be marijuana beer on tap at the local pub I'd say your nuts. But well its happening.
Weedspeakeasy, Leafcantina.

It was Rick Schwartz long time ago that I read , he said focus on everyday needs. This guy bought churches ( and sex stuff ) all of them. Sure no jackpot sales, but a thousand or so thousand dollar ones. He also bought cities like Delray, and other tourist locations.

Not to be political but this midterms will define the Cannabis industry further. As our federal government gets distracted with silliness the states are all evolving cannabis legislation. Most the Democrats that are running are pro cannabis, both Florida and Ohio. Cuomo in New York is a mystery how those polices are being formulated.

This is what drives our domains. Its state by state legislation.

But after the mid terms were going to see a uptick in new states coming onboard. As well as little if no ability to turn for hopefully just the executive branch is in Republican hands. Nothing will change at that point. Then you will see more confidence statewide on larger plays like coke a cola is making.

Thanks Carob, but I don't believe "Incredi" anything will sell like "Incredible". Take for example, "IncrediHigh" vs. "IncredibleHigh" or "IncrediWeed" vs. "IncredibleWeed",they don't compare imho.

New Jersey looks to expand from 13? permitted venues to over 300 recreational stores? full product lines ; on a Legislative ( 200 page pdf article #2702 Senate )vote at the end of the month. I read half. It gets into branding also; Jerseygirlcanna mby I'll get lucky. Hope Bruce didn't trademark it!

Tons of people saying they regged this and that. Does anyone have a reported sale of a domain they registered in the last year?

I see tons of burned money here.
