What are the options for privacy when it comes to ccTLD's in EU-countries? Opening an offshore company is one option, but are there reputable service providers to protect private data as well?

It depends on the TLD. The whois record may already be masked for individuals, but not for companies.

What about .ch and .de? The data should not be available to anyone, just as it is with .com's.

Apparently whois privacy is now standard in EU countries. Is this information 100% correct, as I could not find confirmation on this for all TLD's?

I own a .de and have been told repeatedly that DENIC does not allow whois privacy, however I have seen some registrars claiming to offer recently. I'm actually on these boards in the hopes of finding an answer.
