Hello, today's the first day I've really been exposed to the domain biz. I always knew it existed but I thought folks were only buying/selling what I thought to be premium domains (few letter or one word dot coms).

A couple months ago I let my domain statusslave(dot)com expire because I thought registering it again would save me a couple dollars compared to the renewal fee haha. I was gonna create a blog eventually, but when I saw someone grabbed it w. the intent of selling, a light bulb went off.

Fast forward to today, I finally took the time to explore this world. I was expecting a more competitive or hostile type of environment but I have been pleasantly surprised by how friendly and supportive most of you seem. I'm about to read up (got a good 12 nP tabs open) so thanks to anyone who's contributed.

Hello Capo and welcome! Yes, for the most part domainers are a supportive group...unless we are bidding against each other! :)

There are so many domains, extensions and variations available, it is unproductive to do anything but help, share and advise each other. It is in the interest of us all to get the highest reasonable amount for a domain sale as it elevates the average sale price for us all. Best wishes!

Welcome to nP and the world of domaining,
Yes it is exciting, but you are doing good by ready and understanding the domains business. It is always a better one to actually first learn and than implement. Best of luck

Hello @Capo Status .. and welcome to NamePros!

Only a dozen browser tabs with NP threads? That's not a bad .. as a start .. lol! Seriously .. learn as much as you can before spending too much. Although the fact what got you interested was the fact you were an "end user" will give you a little head start.

Best of luck to you going forward! :)

Welcome Capo, from another forum newbie.

Like you, over the years I have made the mistake of letting some good aged domains expire...what a mistake...we live and learn. :banghead:
