Dear Bob,

We’re excited to announce that Sedo is now offering Expiring Domains Auctions.

We recently added a new exclusive feed to our available domains for sale, Expiring Domains! You can now filter directly for these type of Auctions within our Sedo marketplace search results. Auctions start as low as $79 so you could snag quite a bargain on some really great domain investments.

View all Expiring Auctions

These expiring domains have not been available before and can only be found at Sedo. With these types of domains, we’re expanding the names available for you by 2,000 domains daily!

Happy Bidding!

Your Sedo Team

Why would anyone pay Sedo $60 out of $79? Could sell it anywhere for $19.

are these the expiring domain name feeds directly from registrars or from people listing on their platform, like us?

What a coincidence, I just removed all my domain off the Sedo marketplace today. Sedo's standard is climbing down IMO. I hope I didn't hurt someone's feeling, just my personal opinion.

I barely use them for my sales listing.

$ 79 for expiring domain name is too high a price that most can afford.

Because Sedo is a name brand. Plus when you check any niche keyword domain on namebio most high ticket sales is Sedo consistently. Sure GoDaddy and other independents have high sales too but Sedo kills it in the $x,xxx and $xx,xxx sales.

At least as much as I have seen.

I await to be proven wrong.

I like this.

To a reseller maybe but an end-user?

This is a tool. I have namejet now with all the supposed shill bids.
I listed 500 domains there once no bids yet idiotic nonsense domains get $500 offers. Sure. All 500 probably sucked but damn! No bids? Not one? C'mon Namejet!

Let's give Sedo a try. And then drop catch.

To clarify to everyone, this is expiring auctions directly from the registrar (In this case, so far, 1&1). This is not the same as a current domain owner listing their domains for sale on Sedo which has been the aftermarket model that Sedo traditionally had.

Sedo is not providing backordering services. They are listing expired domains from a registrar partner

Cos it's not the domain owner who's listing the domain in this section. So it's not "anyone" selling the domain

actually correction. I did call up Sedo on a different topic and ask as a regular user not a registrar about their new expiring auction and he said they are "working" on it.
then I asked "for all users?" he said "Yea" so who knows? unless sedo can confirm. Dropcatch has been saying this for years. still can't add me domains on there,

Can you explain what does an expiring auction by a normal user mean?

Has anyone purchased an expired domain from Sedo auctions yet? Do you have to receive the names at 1&1 if you win?

I won the expiring auction domain, and paid, however, I did not receive any feedback from Sedo about transferring the domain to me, even though I tried to contact them during business hours.
I'm getting worse, I've won, paid, but can't contact them, they ignore my email even though I send it during business hours.
@MadAboutDomains can you help me?
