All Registrar Renewal Prices

NameSilo
Watch
Hello Mods & Mems,

I try to keep all my domains at one Reg House so I don't usually renew anywhere else, but I thought it might be helpful to everyone if we had a thread that had links to the renewal price pages from as many as possible.

I just saw in another thread that epik has an outstanding page where they list all the renewal prices for each extension.

https://registrar.epik.com/prices/renew/toplevel

Please post the Renewal Price Page from any others you can find.

Thank you.

Peace,
Kenny

$8.49. They have an error in their page where it shows the really old price of $35

you can also use this very good page below to check for best deals per extension, per registrar... its very helpful and I use it all the time:

www.domcomp.com

cheers
Perfect! Thanks for the domcomp link, too. :)

Darn auto correct. :)

That's what I'm talking about!

Thanks.

Be sure to log in prior to checking prices. Once you log in, you will see the prices that apply to your own Epik account – rather than default pricing. If you're still seeing a $35 renewal on .COM, then contact our support at Epik email address and ask for domainer pricing. We'll edit your settings, and then you'll see a better rate.

Epik has a default renewal rate of $35. But that's meant to apply to an end-user customer who has only 1 domain name. At Epik, such customers receive a lot of 1-on-1 support during the year. We provide a level of service they generally can't get elsewhere. Logically, there has to be some profit margin in order to pay for the employees who help such customers. End users aren't always very tech savvy; so the man hours really add up. So, in a sense, that $35 renewal for an end-user customer with 1 domain is rather like an annual membership fee.

Our rates for domainers – or end users with a lot of domains – are very competitive.

Fair enough. Thanks for the information. I stand corrected.

While domcomp is clearly great, I actually prefer this similar site:

https://tld-list.com/

Note that they do show transfer, as well as register and renew prices, if you enter an actual extension.

One feature I like is that they show you a graph of historical best rates for each of register, renew and transfer, so you can get an idea how likely a lower price may be to reappear.

Thanks everyone so far. :)
There are still some missing entries.
Can we fill this list up?

Peace,
Kenny

@Joe Styler

Hiya Joe,

Does GD have a renewal pricing guide we could link to?

Thanks.

Kenny

https://www.godaddy.com/domains/discount-domains.aspx is what we have listed in one place. This is for the domain discount club pricing. This is a paid service that locks in the lowest cost we have on anything - new, transfer, renewal.
Hi Joe,

Thanks for your response.
What we are looking for is a general public listing with regular renewal pricing like the ones above.
I have never been able to find such a page. Does it exist?
It would be nice to see all of the renewal prices and / or even a list of the regular user reg prices on one page, without having to go through a cart process just to find out the price. :)

Maybe you could bring this up with the powers that be.

Surely GD could spare the bandwidth to offer a great convenience to the public, and honestly, it would make my job a LOT easier when looking up renewal prices.

Thanks.

Peace,
Kenny

We do not have a page like that.

We do not have a page like that.
Hi Joe,

I'm hip, brother. That's why I'm reaching out to you here. :)
Do you think it would be cool to have such a page?
There is bound to be at least one coder at GD that could build something like that out?
Perhaps you could mention it to someone that could make that happen. ;)

Peace,
Kenny

No I don't think we could have a page like that. We have a lot of prices. Prices vary based on exchange rate and also based on length of time you had the domain (some are grandfathered in with a low renewal) how many domains you are renewing, what other products you have, such as the domain discount club etc. You may have even have two domains in your account to renew that renew at different prices a the same time. Basically we try to offer the lowest price you can qualify for on the renewals.

Hi Joe,

Ok, that makes sense.
I was just hoping to finish off the thread with the final pieces in place.

Thanks.

Kenny
