The original post has been edited / The bid increments were not valid since it was added after bids had already been placed and it was not updated in the thread / End time has also been edited to the default 72 hours after last bid.

Thank you for understanding.

Hello,

We are investigating what happened in this auction. It appears that we may have made a mistake by accident that lead to an invalid auction.

Do not transfer any money or the domain until we complete our investigation.

Thank you.

Update:

This auction has been invalidated. Neither party is responsible to complete this deal.

This was our mistake, and it is our responsibility to you to explain what happened and try to do better next time.

Originally, the seller set a reserve on this auction with a $5 starting bid. At NamePros, we do not allow reserves, which means the auction was invalid (all bids are void). Once the seller removed their reserve from this auction (thus, making it valid), the seller set the starting bid to $500. We then mistakenly reset the starting bid to $5 (the seller's initial starting bid when the auction was invalid), because that's typically what we'd do if the starting bid was changed after the auction receives a valid starting bid. However, in this case, the auction had never begun because it was previously invalid when the starting bid was set to $5. Therefore, the starting bid should have remained $500.

Now that the seller understands how to run auctions on NamePros (i.e., reserves are not allowed), the seller may start a new auction if they choose.

We apologize for this mistake, and we will do our best to prevent it from happening again.
