tips Domain Backorder api

Hi
i built a sample application to backorder domains , it check availability of domain every second and register it if be available .
i use namecheap api to do that but namecheap is slow (0.416s to check domain availability ) and several times do not response to requests .
any body know about others registrar to do it fastest ?

in order to prevent error you should incorporate proxy ip

APIs are tied to accounts. It makes no sense using a proxy. It is wise to follow the terms of usage for each API one uses or else there is the risk of a ban for that account.

Moreover,
I have asked access to namebright's API in the past and they refused. Are you sure they give free access to their API for registering domains?
I would love to learn how you managed to get access to that. You can PM if it's ok with you.

Lastly,
@alah , fastest API is Dynadot's by far but it's a very competitive API in that you need to spend a lot of money with Dynadot to beat other users that are after the same domains as you are; the one with the most money spent is the one that wins the domain via their API. Keep that in mind.

Our only restrictions for our API is that you pre-fund your NameBright account with at least $100 USD, and that you read and agree to the API Terms & Conditions. The only API behavior we do not approve of is attempting to register dropping domains during the drop process. We also limit the rate of commands to an average of 1 per second.

If you would like to apply for API acccess, please do so, it is only under certain circumstances that we refuse API usage.

Namechap allow resellers to access api free . it is dont hard to become reseller in namecheap .

I know. I also use Namecheap's API.

It all depends what you need an API for,

if you want to just manage your account then a lot of APIs will do

if however you are into the dropcatching thing then it depends upon the competitive nature of the domains you are trying to catch.

Dynadot is the king without doubt but you need to spend a lot of money to beat the others that will compete with you. I'm into the highs $xxx/year spending with them and I never beat anyone when I use their API. I guess you need at least $5k annual spending to have some chances to win.

If you are not after competitive names then Namecheap is enough. Try to add a 3-4sec delay between calls. You are risking getting your API access removed by throwing a lot of 'too many requests' at Namecheap. Better not take that risk imo.
