advice Should You Give Outbound Marketing A Try?

Have you ever thought about giving outbound marketing a try for your domain names?

If this is something you have been thinking about pursuing, I talk about a few things to consider before you give it a try!

Outbound marketing is always a topic of debate.

Some people love doing it and some people flat out hate it.

I fall kinda in the middle.

If you aren’t familiar with what I mean when I say outbound marketing, it’s basically reaching out to people who you believe would want to buy your domain name.

Before you actually purchase a domain name, I would highly suggest you make sure you have a list of people who you think would want to buy it.

What types of domain names should you be buying anyway?

Read more HERE.

A good read , thanks. I never do to others what I wouldn’t want done to myself, i despise solicitors, if I want to purchase something, I will seek it out, I feel the same way with domain names, you will be contacted by an interested buyer if they want your name, the tuff part today??? Having to use Whois privacy because solicitors will bombard a persons phone and email trying sell stuff, does that piss you off when solicitors bombard your phone and email??? , if so, you probably should not do outbound soliciting with domain names.

Personally I only don't appreciate when same person keeps bombarding me with an email over the same topic am not interested in. I go through the subject matter of all my email including the spam folder daily and read any am interested in.

Moreover when I get a name because I believe it will be a great upgrade or good redirect for someone, I got to let them know. Some people are using their current domain because it's the one available at the time and the best match is taken.

They will appreciate an email indicating their best match domain is available for them to buy. However caution is very important to avoid TM issues.

But I do a mail once. If I get a response, then we communicate. Otherwise I let the person be. IMO

Lol. Not so. It's just my opinion if I don't get any feed back whatsoever from a new prospect, I let him/her be.

I cant understand how anyone makes sales without emailing potential end-users. Unless you have a portfolio of premium names, you wont make a living doing this by just sitting and waiting for offers. Most domainers dont make a profit in this game because they sit and wait for buyers. You have to do outbound if you want to be successful.

My thoughts exactly. It's not like we are spamming or something as long as we keep things professional.

Besides, all the big brokers do email outreach, so why shouldn't we. Granted that they offer premium domains, but if we have a nice domain to pitch to potential buyer, then why not give it a shot.

Just my 2 cents.

And we also have to keep in mind that they get bad replies or 100$ offer for 1 word .coms so outreach is legit.

Just some people should avoid to reach out for crappy names and/or using auto systems
