The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you're implying setting up BIN+ Make Offer (Min Bid at BIN price) might be functionally the same as BIN only..Yes but, when a buyer sees the Make Offer option, he's lead to believe for a moment that there might be scope for negotiation, until he finds out that the minimum bid allowed is the same as BIN price and the Make Offer option was misleading and unnecessary.
The point is to uncomplicate things as much as possible for them and being straight forward at presenting options.

When I opt for BIN only, it's priced to be no-brainer for a serious buyer.

And I believe minimum bid's are construed to be the starting point of a negotiation and it's implied that the asking price might be more.So when one opts for Make Offer option setting Min. bid at BIN, there's a valid possibility the buyer might move on, who might have otherwise considered hitting BIN.

Hope this clarifies.

Agreed. I believe there's a psychological aspect at play when a buyer see's BIN with 'Make offer' vs BIN only with reasonable pricing.

Straight BIN can entice impulse buyers while BIN + 'Make Offer' gives more opportunity for second thoughts and rationalizing the purchase and/or valuation. To question whether to submit an offer or if the name is even worth it equals more thinking, more options = ward-off an impulse buy.

I always felt BIN + make offer on reasonably priced domains shows lack of confidence in its value/desperation to get it sold, which could be a turn off.

Quick update:

If you set your BIN price at the same level as your starting offer price, the make offer option will be removed automatically from your for sale page.

Thanks @Undeveloped for the quick turnaround on implementing that suggestion. (y)

Hi Golan,

Of course, I'd be more than happy to.

The lead importer feature isn't a lead generator tool. So it's only to be used for leads or transactions that have already formalized.

Show attachment 93261

So the moment you receive an offer of for example $500 via email, you can import that lead directly to your Undeveloped account and continue negotiating while using our negotiation system.

The buyer will receive an email explaining that you're an Undeveloped seller and that you wish to use our marketplace and negotiation platform. Once they confirm their intent, you can negotiate with them via your Undeveloped account.

Hope this helps,

Reza

so the leads we enter show up only after and if buyer replies? why not show em in our leads right away..so we can keep track..now we cant even recall what we already entered

Hi Alcy,

You can find unconfirmed, imported leads by clicking on the small icon next to the lead importer button.

@Undeveloped any chance u can let sellers lower their offer of buyer does not reply to last offr? sedo and gd do it..and it sure ia better than losing sales..ty

Offer now auto-expire, allowing you to send another offer. We've learned that lowering your price (especially more than once) before the buyer actually responds, counters or rejects your offer, is one of the biggest sales killers in negotiations.

The buyer initially gets a price from you, they start forming an idea about what the name is worth, if you then lower your price before the buyer even decides to go for it, they lose faith in the price point and become non-responsive often.

So I understand that other marketplaces offer this but it's seriously hurting your sales.

PS: if you still really want to be able to send a lower counter after you've countered, email support and they'll reject your counter offer so you can lower your price. But again, it's really not advised. As a platform, we would always advice to ask the buyer to make a decision first before you ever drop your price.

With my recent experience selling at @Undeveloped i must say that their agents/brokers/sales manager are by far the best. The way they handled the sale, the way they managed to keep in touch with the potential buyer/leads. absolutely brilliant. the low commission. fast easy payout only makes it better. Way to go. Keep it up guys.

Thanks to @Undeveloped for creating the best domain selling experience ever.

I only recently found something that I think it's easy to implement and gives a better shopping experience. When you enter the Seller's Domain Shop, when filtering by extensions, all extensions appear. Would it not be possible to show only the extensions that said seller owns? I think this could make it easier for buyers to browse the shop :xf.smile:

this is really good idea.. scanning through all the extgensions.. can be very long and inconvenient for buyer..

if you decide to implement it @Undeveloped perhaps you can do few more mins of coding and put a number next to each extensions.. for how many domains there are.. this shouldn't be too hard to do imo once you actually write code to check which extensions are owned by person

@Undeveloped
so today is first day I am trying your sale landers..

I like your support and the way things are structured for sales etc..
got couple offers.. but no sale yet.

I have a couple of issues though... I tried to email them to your support by email but I believe the person there is not same as here.. so hopefully I get a brand new view on it here from you.. and hopefully fix.

first of all, I have some longer names.. say 15 chars+.. such as virtualreality+keyword.com and some more... these names get cut on the line.. and rest of name is shown below it..

so stuff like:

virtualrealityorga
nization.com

or other similar things.

there aren't really 50 ways to fix it... you essentially need to code it so that if char count hitsa certain number where it splits name, then reduce font of name a bit.. so it fits in one line.

this is like few mins of coding too I think.. and this does not loook professional to potential buyer where name is randomly cut and split like this.

yoru email guy was great in his support.. but I think we had misunderstanding on this.. cause he kept saying we do all we can to make things look nice.. and yet, things do not look nice.. so I am not sure if he was saying there is no fix.. and if he was then he was wrong.. cause I just told you what the fix is.. and that's fairly simple to put.

one last thing for now:

I tried my landers on my desktop/laptop and all works good.. however when I quickly tested it on my phone (good phone on public connection), I had a loading time of about 10 seconds.. til page loaded fully and offer could be made.. before that there was just spinning circle in middle and page was loading. I am not picky and I don't need pages loading instantly.. so 2-3 seconds is fine.. but 10 seconds is not fine.. and this will just make buyers close windows thinking there is an issue.. not all.. but some... and we want zero buyers closing windows for this reason.

that being said.. can someone here on mobile phone be kind enough to confirm if pages are loading this long?

I did add a background picture.. but I can't imagine that as the problem.

here is a test page of mine:

www.9u.io

thanks and I like your quick support and company and hope to be able to make us both some sales in future!

p.s. I was also happy to learn from yuoru email support that your paypal payout is mass payment.. so zero extra fee from paypal upon payment reception.. else that'd make your total fee to sell with u around 20% ... so as bad as godaddy :)

cheers.

On a few year old iOS device (but iPad not iPhone) running 10.3 (i.e. not most current) from here in Canada your site loads in the Safari browser in between 1 and 2 s the first time I access it (faster returning).

Less than 3sec load time here

thanks guys... thats odd cause all my internet pages load real fast.. despite my testing it at mcdonald on public connection.. I think it said like 2mb speed in an internet speed test I once ran.

I know its not a lot.. but still.. all my pages load super fast.. whereas my undeveloped lander was just hanging in there iwth circle spinning for like 10 seconds.

weird.

but I think its safe to say most people won't experience this problem. unless they are at mcdonalds lol

So @alcy if you want to sell your domain names at McDonalds, maybe you can get them to add them as options to the Self Serve ordering kiosk? :xf.wink: Do you want a domain name with your muffin and burger?

According to gtmetrix it loads in over 6 seconds (desktop not mobile though):
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.9u.io/QVUfRzDa

I have been emailing undeveloped about page loading times and they said pingdom shows it loading in around 1 second or so whereas my experience is with ssl landing pages it takes around 5-6 seconds for the page to load completely on average which is not good. When I test my page manually it does take a while for the pages to fully load for me as well it's not just gtmetrix.
As a comparison gtmetrix says efty takes around 2-3 seconds to load fully, afternic landers similar so i believe they are accurate overall.

I know undeveloped will likely say gtmetrix is wrong but I don't think they are here, the pages could do with loading mush faster overall in particular ssl landing pages.

I had not known bout gtmetrix (thank you @joro001 - I learn something new every day here!) before so I tried it with your site @alcy from old Mac desktop (most up to date Chrome) in western Canada with high speed home Internet via WiFi. It indicates 6.7 s for full load, but the page certainly seems to me to load faster. I presume it is the meaning of full that must explain how both can be right.

For comparison I tried a couple of other sites to see what it told me. For my own (NamesThat.win) site that runs on a SSD but in shared hosting service it gives 4.4 s, for NameBio main page it gives 2.0 s, for NamePros main page it gives 5.3 s, for one of my (redirected) individual landers on Undeveloped (robotics.gdn) it gave me 6.5 s (similar to your page) and for my Efty marketplace at Frugal.bid (not an individual lander page) it gives 3.3 s.

I think the @Undeveloped have indicated that some landers take longer for example if you have activated the graph of number of visits the domain name has had. I am not sure what other factors affect it. I would just say that to me, both when I use a Mac computer and an iPad, it certainly seems to me that Undeveloped pages load fast enough, and much faster than these numbers from GTMetrix.

Not sure if any of this is helpful, and will leave it to you more technically adept people to interpret meaning.

I do know undeveloped has been working on reducing load times in past.. cause the support guy told me so by email.. so its easy to conclude that they had issues.. question is.. are they solved now or not.. I guess the reports are mixed.

obviously, the last thing you want on a sale lander.. is long load time. otherwise buyer just closes window thinking there is error and moves on... annd there goes your sale.. or potential of it.

Thanks for this. From my understanding gtmetrix measures it by when the page has fully loaded all scripts on the page which would include the reviews at the top right of the undeveloped page, the redirect to ssl, traffic graphs etc. (could be wrong just think this is the case).

So it would make sense that the more info you have on your undeveloped page the longer it will take to fully load them. however, 6 seconds or even 4 or 5 is simply too slow for my liking (love the landing pages otherwise by the way). This must be improved IMO.

Regarding site speed, GTMetrix shows how long it takes for all assets to load. We have asynchronous loading enabled (for the heavier front end tech we use like ReactJS). This results in showing the buyer instantly the site (html loads first) while we load each important element asynchronously.

If you load the page, you'll see this clearly with the Trustpilot widget. It always loads after the entire site has been loaded.

GTMetrix shows the total time to load all elements and assets so it's not useful for real benchmarking.

Like I mentioned earlier, if you have a normal set-up you should observe an average load time of between 800 milliseconds and max 2 seconds during peak hours (for me personally all pages load instantly when I open a new lander. Only domains that are just newly parked with us and don't have SSL yet will take a bit longer to load for their first visit as we generate the SSL certificates at the first visit).

We have users from all over the world with different machines, browser plugins, internet connections, some park via Nameservers, others via a redirect and what not. So it doesn't surprise me that not everyone is experiencing the same site speed or load time.

Good one by the way. Try using a lightweight background if you add one. And always compress your image before uploading with tools like this one: https://compresspng.com

okay thnaks

but how do you then explain the fact that with many/all other landers most people are familiar with... form godaddy sale page.. to above.com to sedo.. or what not... the looadtimes never seem to change and are independent of setups... which I know for a fact cause I tried them all on various machines, mobile etc.. and yet your lander seems particularly sensitive to setups..

what makes your lander this sensitive? and others load fast/same regardless of setup.

perhaps to answer this question, will be to find out more about where yoru problem and soloution may be.

p.s. do u plan to do something about shrinking font for longer names so they fit on one line? or can I assume you will be leaving things as is. thanks!

to be clear I really like undeveloped's landers and options to me they are as good as it gets, but I just want improvements. I just tested in chrome incognito two of my domains and it did take around 6 seconds or so to fully load which is much to slow. Also if you test with pingdom from locations such as Australia and the USA it takes much longer than 0.8-2 seconds mentioned above to load, check it yourself.

I am attaching 2 screenshots from gtmetrix from a domain i've currently parked with undeveloped and whatever is said about time to load (it shows around 9 seconds on this check) there are numerous things to improve such as gzip compression, using CDN etc. Also the Performance scores are really bad F- D whereas for example afternic's are rated A - B by gtmetrix.

In short I feel there is more to be done to speed up landing pages by Undeveloped to improve what is an excellent overall product offering.

I want to mention I just closed my first sale with undeveloped, (only started using them recently) was as smooth as it gets from start to finish, they are absolutely worth their 9% and no extra paypal fees either.

My comments above regarding landing page loading times and suggested improvements are simply my desire to have a better overall platform. From my end I actually am happy with just about everything else they offer, but yes would like to see landing speeds increase as well as the issues gtmetrix are highlighting improved as best as possible.

Overall though kudos undeveloped i'm very impressed indeed.
