Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

I thought it might mean something in Chinese.
Fu Te are two Pinyin words which can represent several Chinese characters, including 福特 which refers to the Ford Motor Company.

ATAG.com was dropped and caught by one of NS drop catch service. I did not see it going to auction on NameJet and I received an alert from SnapNames telling that the auction had been cancelled now, after more than a month...

Shortnames lists it as sold:
$8,500 7/16/2018 Namejet

Guess in what name is the domain registered to? New Ventures Services, Corp.

Can anyone publish the details of the auction on NameJet?

The below quote was written in this thread over 10 years ago in 2008. HERE ---- Reposting because I found it interesting given how everything played out. Curious to re-read this post 10 years later, and see what it will be like then,

Why do prices seem so high, let me sing my song. I didn't make Woodstock, but I did watch the LLL storm build into what it is today; and it was a sunny day when the whole thing started. When the LLL's first took off from basic $29-$69 snaps to a couple hundred bucks between domainers, it was only a few months after that level, that they ALL went to the $1,000-$1,500 level. In 2003, the worst LLL.coms made it to around $1,000 - $1,500, and then everyone said it was over.

I'm not saying that's what's going to happen; I just know, that this, is the exact same way it happened before. And like in any good horror movie, when the monster goes down the first time and everyone believes it’s dead; the LLL’s made this funny transistion. The really nice LLL’s were getting $X,XXX - $XX,XXX; and then everyone said why should I sell for $1,000. This is what I think created the boom. As more individuals own a greater share of the holdings, the stronger the market becomes.

This time it’s an army of people who understand, not a couple of guys; and that’s something pretty powerful. Everyone's always wondering when something big is going to happen in the domain business. Folks, it doesn't get much better than this. When the LLL's hit that $1,000 mark, everyone was convinced it was over, look at the LLL prices three years later.

Three years after the LLL market was pronounced dead and ready to burst. I’ve seen so many people try to hype different things around here over the years, and I fully believe this isn’t hype. I struggle with why others just can’t see it, no hyphens, no niche extensions; just good old reliable, king of the hill, .com’s; and people still scream no as the prices climb.

I only have about 50, and most of them were bought over 3 years ago, so I'm not selling hype; I'm telling you how it was, and how it's the same exact way again now. What you think is high priced today, right now, may be considered a steal in 3 months. Think I'm kidding? Look back to 3 months ago and compare. I’m not perfect, years ago when I was sifting through the daily drops, I hated CVCV’s, and passed over hundreds of them just to grab the CVCV’s because I believed they were phonetically better for end users, (and I still do). Time will be the judge of that one; and I got time.

What happened to that old poll about which camp members were in, that will help people with their reality check. By the way folks, China loves most of the letters Americans hate; it’s a big world out there; they’re all good! I think I’m finished with this for a while, time to get back to work.

It's now safe to say that CHIPS are dead. GNPF.com sold for $402 yesterday at NJ. This is an English premium, that puts it in the $350+ price range. Being a Chinese premium seems to have added little to no value to it. The lower end of LLLL.com's are holding at just above $100.

I am glad they are back to reasonable.

Most of them sell for only 2x to 10x of brandables that you can hand reg or get from expiring auctions for $8 to $20 range and paying $high xxx to low $xxxx wholesale doesn't make sense, unless exceptional name (for example, happily paid almost $2K for b/e/l/g/com).

Thanks for sharing

Not all names created equally. All names are unique. I have few friends from China. Very good friends. They still do sale some Chips for Five Figure range on regular basis. But those have certain patterns. They shared what they are but still I never purchased one.

Why??

Because I only want to invest into something which I can understand and when time comes I can communicate with proper reasoning with historical facts for similar assets to potential buyer.

I just can’t say to my buyer to please buy BCRQ because BRQC sold for $3000 couple years ago.

We need to have little understanding and little study behind assets we hold.

There are several assets class inside 4L and all of them will stabilize sooner or later to realize it’s actual potential.

Just sharing as little student of 4L.

Thanks

Sure, but Chips as liquid domain is dead, that's just a matter of fact. Yet (random) English premium still sells for at least $350, as it has for the past 10 years now.

For any short type of names with active reselling, its only a matter of time before they stop being active in the reseller markets because prices keep going on until resellers feel its: 1) hard to get profit or/and 2) the price of entry is too high.

From what i'm seeing, volume of LLLL.coms in reseller circles in down alot currently,so that probably means resellers have basically resold as many names at the "acceptable price"(for resellers).
Look at LLL.coms. is there reselling? yes. is it much? No. Are they popular and sought after and still traded? yes.so its an example of a short asset category that has passed the reseller phase.
