Hello fellow domainers,

I have a domain which I think is valuable.

I tried listing it on GD but they wouldn't let me for some "copyrights" reasons.

I am thinking of building a webpage about the domain, with real but simple content.

This page would be a simple lander page with ads displayed on it.

Questions:
1- a Non-developer friendly way of building this page (Wordpress?)
2- How would I monetize it?

Thanks

Liam, if Godaddy refused the name for TM reasons, I'm not sure you should try to monetize it. At the very least, be careful of the ads you put up.

What could be done with that domain then?

IF theres some form of TM you'd be making it 10x worse because you'd be trying to profit off building . ad revenue with it.

Noted.
What if I have another domain that doesn't have any TM issues and I want to monetize? Could you advise based on my questions?

Providing there are no TM concerns:
Search for companies that provide products or services that relate to the domain. Find ones that have an affiliate or reseller program, and post ads on your landing page with affiliate links.

The easiest way to monetize if you find a good affiliate program closely related to your domain is to just redirect your domain directly to the affiliate link. Then you don't even need to have your own web page. You just set-up your domain at your registrar to be a redirect to the affiliate link URL. I do this with some of my adult domains, and some of them are very profitable, with little to no effort.

Before you try to develop your domain, park it and see if you have type in organic traffic. If your domain doesnt have any type in traffic, just dont waste money in hosting service.
You wont monetize your domain if you dont have type in traffic anyways....
