Hi NamePros!

Many of you will have used Internet.bs to register domains at some point and hopefully have had a good experience. A lot has changed in the past year or so as we have focussed on building out our site to be even more friendly for investors so it is worth taking another look.

Today we released our new domain availability checker and it is designed to help investors check availability in bulk, generate larger volumes of suggestions and generally help with name research. The below video shows how it works using different search methods.

We also have a number of other videos that show more functions within the website, such as our renewal and bulk management tools, you can see these if you scroll down after following this link. You can also have a look at our super low pricing (y)

Please feel free to reply to this thread if you have any feedback about our portal or if you want to discuss being setup on our domain investor level pricing send me a message.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Better late than never.

I've been using IBS for years and have only the best experience.

The only downside for me is high minimal balance top up which is $65 i think. I can not see how you can justify this totally user unfriendly matter.

Otherwise, great registrar with great prices.

OK, that is great feedback! I don't know why we do that off the top of my head but I will look into it and see if we can reduce that.

Thank you very much!

Hello @Internet.bs glad to see you are registered over here.

I like internet.bs when I register exotic domains. Especially that I am from Europe and I can register all type of domains, like .re .pm and so on.

The platform is intuitive and easy to work with.

suggestion is you should launch a reseller program like other registrar have
with store front option

Thank you for the suggeston. Honestly, we probably aren't going to be able to do something like that, we are a super small team and are trying to focus on investors with the team we have, and there are other registrars in our group of companies that are doing that kind of thing at the moment. We do have a completely open API though if people have their own store and want to resell.

OK, I looked into this and there were some reasons initially but we think we can safely lower the limit now. Minimum will be $10 as of next week. Thanks again for the feedback!

Just a quick update, the minimum add funds amount is now $10. Really welcome anymore suggestions!

That's great, old limit was a bit annoying, but this is a lot more convenient :)

Generally I really like your service and your one of my favourite registrars because a lot of things just work easy and nicely (in contrast to other bigger registrars)
Though, there are a few minor things, which would be great if you could have a look at:

- it's not possible to add a mailforward with the API if the destination address contains a "+" character
- really miss the Registration date information for domains. Could you add that?
- API command Domain/List with "CompactList=no" is missing some parameters like: autorenew, domainstatus, privatewhois, namservers - could you add those?
- adding external domains is nearly impossible since GDPR. Maybe verification could be done with TXT entry?

Again, everything not super important but would be nice to have :)

Thanks

Thank you for the feedback! It might not be super important to you but we will still work on fixing it, the benefit of a smaller team!

For the mailforwarding would you mind direct messaging me a transaction ID? We do support "+" in email fwd's but it might not have worked if you used "GET" and didn't URL encode the email address.

Yes, we can add the registration date as it is in the DB, have raised a ticket for it to be added to both API info and the Web UI as an available field in the domain list “view” options. I will update when done.

Regarding the API CompactList, the reason Nameservers and PrivateWhois are not included is that we have to pull these from a separate table and it would take too much resource. I have raised a ticket to bring those two fields under the same table as the decision to keep them separate was from a long time ago without a valid reason. Domain Status should already be shown and we are going to add autorenew status now.

With the external names, glad to hear that someone is making use of it! Are you just using for DNS? We are aware of the issue and are working on a solution, that TXT record is a good idea thanks.

Thanks again for all the ideas!

Its a nice looking site, but I need that easy/fast who-is lookup when I'm searching domains.

Is that just for checking expiry dates? It would be good to know how you use that, we might be able to incorporate some of the data without you having to click over to WHOIS.

is there any chance if you guys can integrate Indian debit cards to make payment, that's the only reason for me to use GoDaddy otherwise, I already got 50+ domains registered with you, would had 40+ more if i could pay using debit card, i have to ask and beg to others for letting me use their credit card to make payment for important domains to be registered with internetbs. :)

it's ok even if you don't and technical reasons it can not be done. just wanted to post and let you know you guys are awesome! :D

Thank you! We have looked at this in the past but it hasn't been really clear to us what the benefit is because often their charges are higher then the card providers we use at the moment and they don't make the differences really clear. How does it affect you in India? Is it that you get charged a fee or will our credit card gateway not accept your card?

credit card gateway doesn't accept a card. usually i use a debit card of ICICI bank and pay via paypal option "pay with debit card or credit card" and enter details it works but when I try to use a debit card of govt. bank using same paypal option, let's say Bank of Baroda then bank refuses my transaction so nothing much you can do I guess, but same card works on Godaddy but i understand they have an Indian presence and bigger operation makes it viable for them to do this.
