Hello,
There's a thread with flowers in the title, but that's about the promotion of 2017 and
some info 2018 !
=>This is DISTUBRBING.

That's why I start another one =>
1/The 1st registrar I got an email from is MONIKER.
It talks about a promotion for .co-registrations beginning in a few days
.CO TURNS 8 ".co birthday offer from July 23-29!"
.co birthday offer from July 23-29! $ 2,49 for .co and for com.co (renewals and transfers excluded)

2/RRPPROXY.NET .co = the 2nd one I got an email from ; 1-year registrations for only 1.99 USD from July 23 to 29
and .com.co 1-year registrations for only 1.99 USD from July 23 to 29 call during European business hours to know how to make an account (I think it's something similar to resellerclub, but isn't part of resellerclub).

=> Normally registrar "domaindiscount24.com" follows soon, because they're a reseller from RRPProxy.net
(=prices without TVA I guess. In Euros, like rrpproxy.net is also (maybe you can change the currency).

And that's all emails I got for the moment for the special promotion.
PLEASE ADD others when you hear about them, or find them, without or with code, preferrably adding from when to when exactly (UTC-GMT with the hour or PST or whatever).

So there is still time ! Prepare.

As predicted by me before => Domaindiscount24.com is running the promotion now and will run till the 29th quite certainly, and you can see that the pricing is =>
2,09 Euro (+VAT 20 cents in Europe, so 2,29 Euro) / 2,45 USD = ( the dollarprice ) for US-citizens and others not from EU -European Union-, Australia, Canada etc..BUT of course Europeans you can choose the prize in dollars if you prefer that).

Note : For Europeans => (if one has a VAT-number, 20 cents ekstra is deductable from the outgoing VAT monthly or how this is organised in your specific country. (the 20% may vary, it depends from country to country. Some wil lhave 18% , some 22%) But that is done automatically depending from your country is mentioned in your account that you made.
Individuals without VAT-numbers, can't deduct the VAT from the payed 2,29 Euro. /

TO register , you simply make an account with them, and you can begin.
You make an account and people from US/Canada, etc. outside EU have to choose "outside EU", when you check.

Renewals are a bit high IMO, but the you can always transfer when you sell a domains
(this is a reseller from RRpproxy or from Key-Systems).

The interface is possible in different languages : so choose the flag of country where they speak your language (you can choose English, French/Français, etc..)

I don't know, but if you visit the website you will see how much privacy costs.
Moniker was several years ago a very good registrar, but they changed their system, and that system is much slower then before, and can take half a day or a day.
So you register, but only after 6 hour for instance you get the email about it or later. i don't recommmend, but they have some extensions other don't have (f.i. .lasvegas etc...).
As far as I know the privacy costs money at Moniker.
BUT ABOUT PRIVACY THERE IS A LOT TO DO AT THE MOMENT WITH THE UDRP-privacylaw from the European Union. So the default setting is for Europeans "nearly everything hidden". And Europeans have as default setting "hidden" whois (without a European has to pay for that). .
But I'l open later a thread to all Europeans, to protest against against this way of working.
It's ridiculous and makes the work very difficult. Because you cant simply "opt out" UDRP.
(Although some registrars do allow that). But not godaddy f.i., but there's a way one can reach the owner of a domain that's hidden in the whois of godaddy, by filling in a little form somehere, and that gets autoimatically in the European onwers email.
Somebody at Godaddy suggested to me to fill in in the "organisation-fielkd" the place for organisation to put a lot of text (f.i emails-adress, name, telephonenumber, adress)
But in fact that's a mess , because of course that's not the organisation.

I think we gonna win (to get GDRP legislation changed by an amendment, so Europeans can choose for NON-privacy, by an opt-out or something, but that's not the case yet. => I think this will still take several months to change), I contacted several MP's from my country (or their kabinet-coworker) and over nearly all the parties they said that this is an "unintended consequence" of this recent new law (UDRP).

I reg'd about 115 .CO domains this week at 99 cents and 20 at $1.99
I sold 14 at $44.95 so far. Outbound sales with "You gotta have this domain" .
Made back all of my money and then some.

Now I have a year to figure out how to sell the rest. :-P

I targetted local customers who did not have .CO and domains were still available. Almost all were 1 email. A few were an email and 1 phone call.

I did not want to lose a sale on clients I knew were easy sales, so it was "$34.95 for domain and $10 'transfer fee'". I can't put up the info on how I did the sales, wording, etc. But the goal was move the easy ones in a few days and then focus on tough sales later.

ALL remaining domains are put up for sale at a higher price online in case anyone goes looking. When I come up with a plan, I will do outbound for these at a higher price, but below the online prices.
