Hi guys!
Almost got this name 2day, but I don't trust my judgement well enough yet as I am still a noob.
Would it have been a nice buy?
Strong dictionary word, generic, massive SG, nice CPC. And all.
Was available for reg.
Yes, I know of d appraisal threads and all. I just needed quick response.
I'm on a one month read-only period.

Not a strong dictionary word at all.. I thought it was a typo of Impotent. Only 480 searches per month are not massive. And the fact that a one word .com is available for reg in 2018, tells you that this domain is not valuable at all.

You make some very good points but truth be told.... if I found a one word dictionary .com I would snap it up regardless of what it was. The $10 reg fee is worth every penny because chances are it will sell on Sedo when put up at a reasonable price.

but is it truly dictionary? I've never heard of this word. Had to squint, may as well be impotent.

According to ngram viewer the word was somewhat more popular many decades ago. I would personally not have bought it. I did check that never sold any form in NameBio. Yes dictionary but I don't see any obvious application.

@ChucKz - I made the same mistakes when I first started - unlike you I jumped straight in

I regged - enlacement.con & kayoes.com BECAUSE they where "dictionary" words

unless it is a quality 1 word .com it is IMO worthless, so fair play to you for not registering it

I would have thought it would probably infringe on a Hugo Boss company line of shirts trademark, although I have not looked into it deeply. For sure in your domain name investing be alert to potential trademark issues.
