4 Letter Dot Com names are still going at higher price, they are not available cheap as some buyers in NamePro are asking, like a name with A, E, I, O, U and V for $ 95 per name. No where in marketplace you will find a sale for $ 95. Somebody trying to artificially bring down the price during the past few weeks.

I advice all the Sellers of 4L.com names, please do not panic. The four letter names have bright future and definitely price will go up shortly.

Do not succumb buyers' unjust asking price. Wait, hold your names, you will not regret. some buyers are just trying to portray and project as if 4 letter dot com names' prices will be down. No way. You can check daily sales report, no marketplace has reported a 4 letter dot com sold for $ 95 or $ 100.

You can check the latest price here: http://shortnames.com/llll/sales, you will find no such sales reported.

You can share your own latest experience here so that everyone know what is going on exactly with four letter dot com names.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm holding. I can always find a use in the meantime. Or just build sites on them.

I been investor of pronounceable or meaningful 4L.com since long time. I was buying when price was $50 as well as $300 for average price for 4L.com. I never worried about what average price for 4L is because I knew I am holding something good. I look at the quality of the name rather than qty. I been trading 4L and been doing good in all ups and downs swing from $50 to $300 to $150 level.

So I like to share with all friends that always go for pronounceable or meaningful 4L rather than just buying any junk who may not sound good or has no meaning or non pronounceable. If we do that then our names will appreciate in value over time. Quality is must. Don't go for name which does not make any sense to you.

Just sharing as good friend.

Thanks

you just gave a link which shows a few 4l.com sold under $100 on july 5th.. a day prior to your post... while in same post you claim that no marketplace has sold them for under $100.

you are definitely not helping your case by creating such confusions.

Agree, when buying not a random 4L but a carefully researched one registered in multiple extensions and having potential end users, the wholesale price fluctuations are easy to ignore.

We should all hold but reality is that prices will continue to fall for a while before they start going up again. It's a liquidity issue, a lot of people have lost money in crypto so they have to liquidate to make up for their losses, also a lot of people just bought LLLL.coms without understanding them so they will try to sell for whatever amount just to get out. Both these issues do not help the price to stay up, so it will just go down for a while until it stabilises and thirdly it's normal that is something has a sharp rise it is followed by a fall.

I think there will be always be value in 4L.coms, especially brandable and pronounceable names. I do believe there are some 4L.coms that are worth around $100 today, regardless of what one pays for them. I have a few that I paid over $150 for that I would be lucky to sell for the same price today. I think it's just the combination of the letters and will always be about the combination and the meaning of the four letters.

If you go to godaddy appraisals page and run a check on many 4L .coms they come up $xxx to low $xxxx.
Worst part is on the right you see sales and many are $xx, which if true is not a good sign.

4L .com domains are a roll of the dice, some are worth $25,000+ and some are worth beer money.

Good letters will get you into profitable exits. Bad letters will force you to liquidate at a loss if the market is down. If you make sure everything you buy has multiple meanings and a lot of potential end users, you will always win.

Sold one yesterday at BIN on Sedo for $1750, even had a q in it. About the right price for me maybe a bargain for the buyer.

4th Decent Sedo sale in the last month of names in general after a long lull in enquiries. Closing another on Tuesday, hopefully.

All of my domains are for sale, I am very old and need to get in many more rounds of golf, drink good wines, and ogle some younger women before I have to go to domainers last hunting ground.
The sales help me do that. :xf.smile:

I'm in the same boat. And can do all that for free, or almost free :) But the price of good wine keeps going up though. You can't get anything decent for $10 anymore :)

Where I live the price of wine has shot up, as has the price of cheese!

But can get 18 holes with a caddy for about $8 on one course. :xf.grin:

I'm on the queue after you.
Though my buy offer is still open, but so far I have not received any sales offer from those 8 members who voted that they are willing to sell the 4 letter dot com name for less than $ 100 per domain.

4L .com domains are a roll of the dice, some are worth $25,000+ and some are worth beer money.

It is possible to maximise ones odds of getting a higher price by, for instance, acquiring domain names that are pronounceable and have a well-known meaning, but I agree that luck plays a bit part, and that's unfortunate.

We were blessed to sell a 4L domain name based on a not-very-common word for a sum much higher than the $25k you mention, because the person who contacted us was a multi-millionaire (which they didn't conceal) and had it as their name. They're probably one of the only people in the world who would have paid that sum for it.

On the other hand, we have some great domain names, as short as two characters for various TLDs, but nobody is interested for even a twentieth of that sum.

Good luck to everyone!
