Hi everyone,

This got my attention & since I know very little about traffic, revenue etc, I thought i'd ask here.

$50,000 a month?

why would anyone sell something generating that kind of income?

Thanks

'potential' not 'guaranteed'. I bet that's also mostly bot traffic.

It doesn't say it's generating that income. It says "potential".

I agree it is misleading however, the word "potential" is a loophole. Basically, implies you could make this much per month but not guaranteed. What would be a better question is, is the site really getting over 3,000 visit per month? If, so are they bots?
Not, sure we can answer those two easily but you could check how well it's indexed online.

Every domain can achieve this figure ......... only gonna cost a couple of million in marketing though

I have a domain that gets that much bot traffic also. About 3000 visits a month from Poland. Useless. No potential for any $$$

People often value a business by applying a multiple to its economic benefit. An example of economic benefit is discretionary cash flow. In the domain world, cash flow of other people’s names is largely uncertain. In theory that keeps valuation multiples down and it does but only a small fraction of registered names have any convertible traffic to begin with, the rest demand a branding calculus and hot potato trading mentality to spin the domain industry hamster wheel. The actual earnings and next sales price of the domain name you cited are unknown, but the general answer to your question is that sellers have other ideas for the money.

Its a bullshit don't get trapped. As a investor always invest in present earning not on future & potential.

Thats the think with "potential" ... it's not a measure of current value.

All domains have the potential to earn $50 000pm+

Just like everyone has the potential to be a multimillionare, if potential was an accurate measure of an outcome then we would all be multimillionares:xf.grin:

potential only, just for new comers to be attracted to the 50000$ /monthly

IMO, the only way it would make that much $ is by developing the domain into a website, and increasing the traffic significantly.

Lol at "potential"

Hey, I'll sell you this lottery ticket for $1000. It has the "potential" to be worth a $1M!!!
