I can understand why Liberals will defend her... b

Liberal schmiberal...

Read my post again. I’m not defending or condemning. To be fair, we need to hear both sides of the story. You’re being judge jury and executioner without taking into account what she has to say.

That would get you out of jury duty but has no other practical value.

Nonpartisan Critical Thinking Test: Can you tell the difference between a fact and an opinion?

Interesting research on predicting active shooters:
https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/pre-attack-behaviors-of-active-shooters-in-us-2000-2013.pdf/view

Some takeaways:

  • A majority of active shooters obtained their firearms legally.
  • Attacks are planned in advance, and they displayed an average of 4-5 concerning behaviors (warning signs) over time prior to the the attack.
  • Teachers and peers were the most likely to notice these signs in shooters 18 and under. For shooters over 18, spouses and domestic partners were likely to notice. Other family members were less likely to notice troubling behavior in either case.
  • These behaviors were reported to law enforcement less than 50% of the time. Most (83%) observers either just said something to the shooter themself, or did nothing.

(Slightly off topic) btw @GILSAN I meant to ask - is “pilha de merda” the correct idiom? Or is “monte de merda” more likely the term a native speaker would use? Or something else?

(Always be learning!)

You put a genocide check list out there, why? Not sure what this has to do with U.S. Politics today?
I won't make the easy assumption that "you" think this where Trump is taking the U.S.
Then you try to silence any debate from the other posters in this thread.
You really do live your life just like the abhorrent mainstream media. Say anything, even if not true and then silence your critics!
The amount of negativity that fills your mind and posts on a daily basis is quite remarkable!
It's pretty sad!

Just take your pick... both are valid. "monte de merda" is more common.

Pilha is very commonly used in "Pilha de Nervos" to describe someone in an extremely nervous state.

Ex: Pedro está "numa pilha de nervos" »»» a bundle of nerves or a nervous wreck

Obrigada! Hardest thing about any language (without being immersed in it) is learning the idioms.

OK - now we can go back to arguing - :)

Liberals: Tea Party is racist, domestic terrorist.

Liberals: Trump supporters are racist, nazis.

Liberals: Calling murderous MS-13 gang members is dehumanizing.

Liberals: People who support detaining people with children when they cross the country illegally are literally animals with no human compassion.

Liberals: Republicans don't deserve respect, a minute of peace! Dox them, hound them, threaten their children.

Liberals; Trump is just like HITLER.

Canada: Separating children from their parents is inhumane.

"For too long, the Human Rights Council has been a protector of human rights abusers, and a cesspool of political bias," Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN,
That is a highly credible statement when we have a sitting US president praising despots like Duterte, elevating tyrants from NK and elsewhere, while trashing democratic leaders, lobbying for Putin (he should start working for America now, it's not Russia First).
Certainly doesn't fit the job description of 'protector of human rights'.
No wonder the US didn't find its place in the UN Human rights council.
PS: the US already left under GWB.

Iran: A country with public hangings, killing protesters doesn't have a right to be on any UN council.

NK: We don't have a choice who we deal with. Trump has diarrhea of the mouth but serious negotiating is being done by pros in State Dept.

RU: Still helping in Syria. We don't want that to spread. Weird dualistic policy of praise and sanctions.

CN: I don't know where to start.

ERICKSON: The Left's Most Dangerous Game
https://www.dailywire.com/news/32214/erickson-lefts-most-dangerous-game-erick-erickson

Quick run down on the tactics and violence advocated by the left. You don't like Trump, but I'd like you to remember one thing:

The media, that is every major outlet including cable, supported Trump during the Republican primary. Donating millions of $$ every week on free airtime, covering his empty podium while other candidates were giving policy debates.

The left feels free to personally attack and ostracize anyone with unapproved opinions. Media manipulates the public into outrage and then covers the result. Hollywood stars, activist call for violence. Where does it end?

Press Secretary Shara Sanders and family refused service at restaurant last night. So much for liberal tolerance.

Because Trump is just like hitler.

Wait, I thought it was ok and not discrimination to turn down customers for example when they are gay ?

Let's pretend you don't understand the difference between forcing someone to create speech, artwork and selling cupcakes or french fries.

Are you justifying denying any service, product for any reason or just enjoying the break down of civility ?

I don't.
And maybe Mrs Sanders wanted an custom-made meal that was not on the menu.

.

The hypocrisy is as usual.

In the case of this restaurant, they will do booming business for a few months from all the free PR as the left floods in. After that it will slowly die as the incident is forgotten. Plus, it takes much more effort to choose a restaurant based on political convictions than it does to simply ignore/boycott a restaurant. A year from now, the left will forget about the place, but the right will still remember it when the name comes up.

Dems will now go on Yelp and say the restaurant has the best food on the planet, Reps will say the food sucks lol

http://www.newsweek.com/sarah-sande...-virginia-restaurant-then-yelp-reviews-992762

This whole thing is getting ridiculous. Next thing we’ll have Democrat restaurants, republican restaurants, gay bakeries, non gay bakeries...

If you’re going to sell food, just f***ing sell food.

If you have a philosophical difference with the buyer, suck it up and serve the f***ing food.

Goes for other things, like issuing marriage licenses or filling prescriptions. As long as it’s legal, just do your damned job.

Well,at least no one will be suing the restaurant owner, no special rights council will fine them so much money it bankrupts their business.
